{0} Prologue

Every mother just wishes the best for their child. They would do anything they could to make sure that their child is protected from every single ounce of evil the world can send their way. It's not easy as an omega to protect your child. But you still would try your best just for them.

Jeon Jiwoo smiles down at her one-year-old son cradled in her arms. The omega boy had a big smile on his face as he looked up at his mother. He had no idea what horrors were outside their doors right now. He was too innocent, too pure.

She brings him close to her chest, holding tight, not wanting to let go. She never wants to let go of the precious child in her arms. But that doesn't stop that sound outside. The screaming, the yelling, and the constant banging from the opposite side of the door. She fears the people outside of that door. And she tries to hold in that fear. But she can't. Instead, she just focuses on soothing her son.

But how? How can she distract him from the anger on the other side?

And then she remembers the lullaby that she would sing to her son whenever she would get upset.

"She tells him, 'Your life ain't gonna be nothing like my life. You're gonna grow and have a good life. I'm gonna do what I have to do. So, Rockabye baby, Rockabye. I'm gonna rock you. Rockabye baby, don't you cry. Somebody's got to. Rockabye baby, rockabye. I'm gonna rock you. Rockabye baby, don't you cry. Ooh love. No one ever gonna hurt you, love. I'm gonna give you all of my love. Nobody matters like you."

But no matter how much she tries, she can't stop it. She can't stop the door from being knocked down and her own home, the place that is supposed to be their safe space, being broken into by none other than The Redstone Pack. A bunch of alphas storm in and march toward the omega woman. She wails, begging the alphas to stay away from her and her child. But they don't listen. They force the woman onto the floor and take the child away from her.

"No! Give me back my baby!" She can't bear to see her child in pain. And even though he wasn't full-on crying, he was fussing. She tries to break free from one of the alphas' grasp, but she's just too weak.

And that's when she smells it. The strong sense of an ultimate enemy. All of the alphas in this room were nothing compared to the alpha who now walked into the room. He slowly walks towards the omega woman with her husband's unconscious body being dragged in behind him. The Alpha drops the beta next to his wife. The alphas let her go as she goes to comfort her husband. She breathes in a sigh of relief when she finds a pulse.

She can sense the alpha coming up to her. She refuses to look up at the alpha. But she has no choice but to look at him when he forces her chin up in a tight grip. He shakes his head, tsking at the omega.

"Oh, Jiwoo. I will say that your husband made a valiant effort. But as you can see, he didn't win."

"Please," she cries, "Why are you doing this? What have we done to you?"

The alpha just smiles. He just loves to hear weaker people beg right in front of him. "Oh, Jiwoo. You don't get it, do you?" The leader takes the young omega boy from his soldier's grasp and cradles him in his arms. Like he was his son. But he didn't care for the omega in his arms. The alpha strokes the baby's dark hair. "You gave birth to a rare species, Mrs. Jeon. A male omega." The alpha smirked evilly at the female omega. "And, I'm going to bring him to my pack. I'm sure he and my son will get along very well when they grow up." The alpha then walks out of the room with the child in his hands and leaves the broken family.

Jiwoo could have went after them, but she was frozen in fear. She couldn't move. All she could do was scream her son's name as he was being taken away.

"JUNGKOOK!"
