Chapter 45: A chaotic shopping date for Mina

As they exit the hospital doors "Is everything okay Chaeyoung?" Mina questions noticing the girls detached look like her mind have drifted to somewhere else.

Yet for Chaeyoung despite not being entirely focus her ears attentively perks up to Mina's pleasant voice.

"Yes,why?Are you worried for me?" She ask fondly

Mina rolls her eyes, a bit in disbelief
"No idiot I just thought you'd be more happy after meeting Somi considering that you've always wanted to find individuals like you, maybe she could even guide you to your home or family."
She encourage despite getting goosebumps from Somi's vibe.

"Yeah but I'm uncertain of her." Chaeyoung inspects her hands, her brows frowns as she remembers the electrical charge that passes through Somi's charge it was a contradicting feeling but it felt like it warned her not to continue.

"And I'm sure I don't have remaining family anymore." She utters surrenderly releasing a heavy burdened breathe recalling her memory of her father's death "Nor do I want to go back wherever I'm from I want to stay here with you." She looks at Mina with tender eyes

Realizing those eyes of adoration and gentle expression, Mina settle a hand on her chest uncomfortable with the unexplainable tug in her heart.
"Don't look at me like Chaeyoung."

Chaeyoung tilts her head and bows her head "Sorry." She mumbles sadly

Hearing the shift on Chaeyoung's tone accompanied by a slacken, downcasted expression Mina's compassion grows naturally again she didn't  like seeing the girl sad and feels guilty "This is annoying why am I feeling this way." She scolds herself internally

She sighs "Wait here Chaeyoung." She she says as she rushes back inside.

MINA POV

I ask mom for some grocery money but She was reluctant to provide some but after knowing I was gonna use it on Chaeyoung since she was feeling down she quickly change her mind yep she has a favorite who's not even her child.

When return outside I see Chaeyoung kneeling petting a dog.

"Ma'am he doesn't want to be neutered." Chaeyoung says as she stands, I was stunned What did I miss.

"Weirdo." The woman smacks her lips scoffing, picking up her pomeranian and glares at Chaeyoung before walking away to the nearby vet clinic.

The dog stares back with it's dewy puppy eyes as if begging.

"Okay what was that?" I ask

"We have to save him, they're gonna take away Steven's balls and he doesn't want to." Chaeyoung pleads

"Whaaat? Who's Steven?" I'm utterly confuse

"The dog it's his name he told me it wasn't his fault that he couldn't stop humping anything that catches his eyes it's his instinct." Chaeyoung explains innocently

I cover my mouth laughing Chaeyoung looks at me puzzled
"He'll be fine Chaeyoung it's good for him it decreases the chances of him getting diseases or cancers."
