Zack took a deep breath, adjusting his apron as he surveyed the kitchen. He had never imagined himself as a house husband, but life had a funny way of taking unexpected turns. He was still relatively new to this role, learning the ropes as he went along.

The day began as usual with him waking up to the sound of the alarm clock. Zack got out of bed, careful not to disturb his sleeping wife, and started his daily routine. The first task was to prepare breakfast for the both of them. He was still learning how to cook, but he took pride in his progress.

(Y/n) woke up slowly, her eyes fluttering open, a gentle yawn escaping her lips. She rolled over, expecting to see Zack by her side, but she was met with an empty bed. A small pang of disappointment tugged at her heart, but she brushed it aside, knowing that he was probably already up and about.

With another yawn, (Y/n) sat up in bed, stretching her limbs before getting out of bed and wandering into the kitchen.

As (Y/n) walked into the kitchen, the tantalizing aroma of sizzling bacon greeted her nostrils. She followed the delightful smell and found Zack standing by the counter, carefully rolling up a burrito. He glanced up as she entered, his face lighting up with a bright smile.

"Morning, sleepyhead," he teased, setting the burrito down on a plate. "I was beginning to think I'd have to wake you up with the smoke alarm.. again."

(Y/n) rolled her eyes, but a small smirk tugged at the corner of her lips. "I was awake," she protested, making her way over to the counter and leaning against it. "Just taking my time getting up."

She looked at the burritos on a plate and the array of ingredients laid out on the counter. "Is this all for breakfast?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Zack nodded, his smile widening as he began expertly plating the food. "Yep, thought I'd try something new this morning. Breakfast burritos, made by yours truly."

He chuckled, remembering the trial and error that had gone into perfecting his cooking skills. "I won't lie, it took a few tries, but I think I finally did them justice. Want to be my taste tester?"

(Y/n)'s smirk grew into a full-fledged smile. "Breakfast burritos, huh? I didn't know you were this ambitious," she teased.

She eyed the burritos, the scent of the sautéed vegetables, melted cheese, and bacon making her mouth water. "Fine, fine, I'll try them," she said, feigning reluctance.

Zack chuckled, placing the burritos on the counter next to the toppings. "Oh, you wound me," he said dramatically, clutching at his chest. "I'll have you know that I'm full of ambition. Just wait until you see what I've got planned for dinner."

He stepped back and watched eagerly as she took her first bite. "So, how is it? Don't spare my feelings. Be brutally honest."

(Y/n) chewed thoughtfully, savoring the flavor of the burrito. "Not bad," she said, holding back a smirk, knowing full well how good it was. "You could have added a bit more salt though," she added, just to rile him up.

Zack's eyebrows furrowed in disbelief, a hint of mock offense on his face. "More salt? Are you sure you're not confusing your food with your personality?" he quipped.

His tone was lighthearted, but there was a hint of genuine defensiveness in his voice. "This is a breakfast burrito, not a salt lick. I painstakingly created this masterpiece, and you claim it needs more salt? I'm hurt."

(Y/n) chuckled, enjoying Zack's faux indignance. "Oh, come on," she said, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "I'm just giving you constructive criticism. You asked for brutal honesty, remember?"

She took another bite of the burrito, her expression nonchalant. "But if you can't handle the truth, I can lie and say it's perfect."

Zack let out an exaggerated sigh, dramatically throwing his hands in the air. "You're killing me here," he said, shaking his head. "First, you accuse me of not being ambitious, and now you're critiquing my cooking. What's next, you're going to tell me I suck at everything?"
