(Before Final Fantasy 7, when Cloud was still an infantryman)

Cloud's stomach churned as the helicopter swayed in the wind. He tried to compose himself, swallowing back the bile rising in his throat. But as the vehicle moved sharply, he couldn't contain the rising sickness any longer. "O-oh no.." He gasps, with a few dry heaves, Cloud vomited all over. But to his horror, he had puked all over (Y/n)'s lap. The lap of a first class SOLDIER.

"What the..!" (Y/n)'s eyes widened in surprise as she felt the warm, sickening liquid against her skin and clothes.

She grimaced, her nose wrinkling at the foul odor and texture on her skin. "Ugh... are you kidding me?" (Y/n) glanced down at herself, her usually pristine uniform now damp and gross.

Cloud's face turned ashen, shock and mortification etched across his face. "I-I'm sorry," he stuttered, his words barely audible over the roar of the helicopter's blades and the howl of the wind outside.

He looked down, averting his gaze, unable to bear the sight of his mistake. "I-I didn't mean to-" He began but stopped, feeling another lurch in his stomach, a familiar feeling that warned of his weak stomach.

(Y/n)'s voice turned sharp as her irritation spiked, "Sorry? You're sorry? Look at me! I'm soaked in your vomit!" She exclaimed, her usual composure slipping.

She tried in vain to brush off the mess from her lap, her frustration and disgust evident in her every move. "And don't you dare throw up again!"

Cloud fought against the urge to vomit once again, his face was turning greener by the second. He took a deep breath, trying to steady his body.

"I-I'm really sorry. I can't help it." he said, his voice quivered. "I have a weak stomach and I get really sick during flights." He looked at (Y/n) again, her usually perfect appearance now ruined by his mistake.

(Y/n)'s expression softened slightly as Cloud explained his situation. She wasn't angry with him exactly, but her irritation was still evident in her voice, "You should have taken some motion sickness medicine before getting on this ride." The scent of vomit was making her queasy now too.

Cloud grimaced, feeling even worse than before. "I didn't think I'd need it. Most of the time I can deal with it. But this time.." He trailed off, feeling the helicopter shake and sway again.

"I think we're almost back at the Shinra building.. Hopefully." He whispered, his gaze shifting to the small window, desperately trying to focus on anything but the churning in his stomach.

(Y/n) was still trying to salvage what she could of her appearance, her once-crisp uniform now stained. "You should have thought about that before we took off.. " she muttered, her tone laced with annoyance.

The thought of having to walk through the Shinra building looking like this made her feel a mixture of embarrassment and frustration.

"It better be, I can't be in this thing for much longer." she agreed, wincing as the helicopter rocked once more.

Cloud nodded his head, his face was now as white as snow. The helicopter began to descend closer and closer to the towering Shinra building, each shake and sway made Cloud tense up. He was barely holding it together.

He looked at (Y/n) again, guilt etched across his face. "I- I owe you a new uniform." He said sheepishly, feeling terrible for ruining her appearance.

The helicopter landed with a thud on the building's helipad, the engine powering down.

(Y/n) glanced at Cloud, her irritation mixed with a hint of reluctant sympathy. She knew he hadn't meant to ruin her uniform, but that didn't make it any less disgusting. This was their first official meeting and it wasn't going at all how Cloud imagined.
