A Phantom In Vandrella High school

CHAPTER 5

The next morning none of the girls slept properly. The matron even had to pour cold water through Cass's head to wake her up. Quinn wasn't the only one who believed in the phantom now. Ash at least put a strong font , Jane had let go of all reason. Previously Jane had mocked everyone who believed in the phantom including Quinn and Ally. Now Jane has been praying to god and asking for his mercy since the previous night. Poor Amy has broken in to a cold sweat. Sally , MaryAnn and Dawn try to console the poor souls. 

Cassandra Chamomile is exhausted trying to convince her friends that it is not a supernatural being , but just a human. Cass explains again for the nth time , " Are you people blind? Can't you guys see? It's as clear as day! some people are playing a prank that's it! See , let's ask sally. Sally where there any noises yesterday?" Sally replied , " Yes , there was a lot of noise. Shuffling feet , clanking noises , howling wind and even a blood curling scream! " Jane exclaimed , " What now? who's right now? " Cass retorted , "Jane ! you were reasonable till yesterday. " Ash murmured , "Well we saw something convincing with our own eyes yesterday."

The students boarded the bus excitedly. Cass was very upset because not a soul  had the reason to see through things properly! She settled down in her seat and looked out the window thinking to herself, " A bunch of Idiots" "Oh my! why is your face looking so swollen "a teasing voice rang in her ears. It was Peter , he sat next to her and continued ,"Let me guess , you couldn't convince your friends". Cass's face hardened , she thought ,"This sly fox." He seemed to sense that she just thought of something insulting.

 Nevertheless "I'll help", he suggested. Cass smiled ,"No thanks, I can handle my friends well on my own." "Suit yourself " he replied. Cass felt annoyed by his confident tone. But suddenly she had a wonderful plan. Her face broke into a smile. Peter noticing this shuddered , he thought ,"I hope she never thinks of me with that smile , it'll send chills down my back. Even a witch doesn't have a scarier smile." He further gave condolences to the poor souls who will get caught in the scheme of this witch.

A few moments later , just about when the bus was about to leave , Ash said , "Hey! anybody seen Cass?". Nobody had and none of them knew where she was , the whole bus fell into turmoil. Miss Binns ordered the children to stay put while she went back to the school to search for Cass. Collin worried went out looking for his sister. Ally and Quinn followed shortly after. Just few moments later Miss Binns who failed in her search arrived back to find an empty bus except for Peter who sat alone in the desolate place. MIss Binns clapped her hand on her head and headed out again.

Peter smirked ,"Time to enjoy the show now is it not? "
