Before reading the chapter I want to make sure that "my characters aren't on their religion, if you are looking for a Halal clean romance book, drop this book. I don't include religion while writing fiction."
Happy reading!

MALAIKA'S POV:

First day.
On my first day at university, I found myself without my closest friend, Aaliyana. She had chosen to pursue her higher studies in Canada, which left me feeling somewhat adrift. While I could have joined her, I ultimately decided to stay close to my family.

I'm confident in my ability to make new friends, given my outgoing nature, but the unique bond I share with Aaliyana is something I doubt I'll find elsewhere. It isn't easy to describe just how special our connection is.  My Dad and my brothers kind of forced me to be admitted to one of the country's best universities. Can I defy them? Negative.

Looking at myself in the mirror, my outfit caught my vision, and a huge grin formed. Sunflower;  that's the only thing you can think about while looking at it. I love, adore, obsessed, and smitten by sunflowers. I love them!! When I was done staring and admiring myself for at least 15 minutes. I moved downstairs.

"Mom ye suraj kahn see nikla hai?" Zayyan, as usual, taunted me. I just rolled my eyes at him. (From where did the sun rise.)

Mujhe pata hai main late uthti hu toh batane ki zarorat thori hai. Ajeeb!! So, I gnored him. I went to hug Dad and Mom and wished them good morning. (I know, on normal days I wake up late but there's no need to tell me.)

"Main kesi lag rahi hu?" I smiled, asking them. (How do I look?) "Chudrail," Zayyan teased but I wasn't in a mood to joke. (Witch.) "Mama," I whined, but she was controlling her laugh instead of saying something to him. "Zayyan tang mat karo ause," at least someone is there to support and that is none other than Dad. (Zayyan, don't tease her.)

"Zaviyaar bhai ko complain karo gi tumhari," I snapped at him. Zaviyaar bhai is the eldest among the three of us. The main reason why I am spoiled - not that much but still, I know  I am spoiled. (I will complain to Zaviyaar brother.)

"Bara hai tumse ausko ap bola karo," guess who scolded me? (Respect him, he's older than you.) None other than my Mom.

"Mom, ap toh dekhe har wqt tang karta rehta hai," I said, and Zayyan was busy poking his tongue out and teasing me. Ugh! Who can say that he wants to pursue his career in F1? (Mom, look at him, he always teasing me.)

"Malaika wo tumse bara hai," Mom said, putting equal weight on each word. I sighed. (He is older.)

"Mom, bara hai toh main kya karo, tameez kare wo bhi," I huffed. Why it is a thing that all the younger clans have to tolerate or why do always we have to compromise?

This ain't done!(Mom, if he is older then what should I do? He should respect me too.)

"Aqib dekh rahe hain ye sab apke lad pyaar ka nateeja hai," how can she say that? Okay, I am done for the day. I didn't have much time so I bid them goodbye. (Aqib, this is all because of your love.)
