DANIYAL'S POV:I accidentally collided with someone, and to my surprise, it was none other than the girl I find attractive and who happens to be my sister's best friend. I can't help but notice her captivating doe eyes and the way she tries to look angry but ends up looking adorable. Okay, I need to stop rambling. I mean, she has the most beautiful smile. Am I cooked? No, never.
I accidentally spilled my coffee on her shirt as she walked by. However, I couldn't help but notice the tears welling up in her eyes, which made me feel a twinge of guilt. It's strange because I usually don't concern myself with other people's emotions, especially when it comes to women.
"Daniyal will continue the program from here," my thoughts were interrupted when my Professor called my name. I was taken aback, but quickly focused on the board where he was explaining a complex program to the class. With a questioning look, he handed me the marker.
I rose from my seat and confidently made my way to the board, quickly grasping the program and completing it within a matter of minutes.
I handed back the marker with a tight-lipped smile, and to my surprise, the Professor didn't seem shocked. It was clear that he was familiar with my quick understanding of the material. It's safe to say that having a high IQ has its perks.
As the final bell rang, signaling that the day had ended, my cousin Arslan and I walked back toward my car. Arslan and I are close, like brothers.
We hopped into my cherished Aston Martin, which holds a special place in my heart. As I glanced over at Arslan, I noticed a continuous smile on his face while he was engrossed in his phone. I couldn't help but wonder if it was because of a girl.
Although I felt hesitant to poke in his matter, I couldn't help but ponder how some people can easily declare their love for someone, when for me, the concept of love feels ethereal. "Yeah, that's why you had a relationship in your past," my mind taunted me. Okay, I didn't love her neither she did.
She was the one who approached me and she was kinda pretty, I still don't get why I even got into a relationship firsthand and for your information, we ended the relationship on good terms as I couldn't do it anymore, from that day. Girls — hufff complicated. I can't stand them. And I was new to the vision of relationships and it was attraction nothing else. But all I can say is girls are complicated, freaking complicated.
Soon we reached home, everyone was sitting in the hall.
"Assalamuaikum." I greeted, gathering all the attention towards us. "Daniyal, mera bacha," you must be pondering that that's my Mom but here is where you are wrong because that was phupho, sometimes I think I am her son. She hugged me. Arslan went toward my Mom. (Daniyal, my child.)
"Kese ho?" she caressed my hair. They should stop treating me like a kid. I nodded. (How are you?)
"Mummy bas kardein hum bhi apke hi bache hain?" Here comes another dramatic girl of the family; Noor, who is Arslan's sister and phupho's daughter. Phupho is here today for lunch because Mama called them. (Mummy, stop. We too are your kids.)
