Gosin turns around and both Dunk and his father laughs in joy of seeing each other after a long time ....
Gosin- Dunk. You're back.
D- Yes.
Gosin- I was thinking about you.
D- Really?
Gosin- I even called you in my dreams. Your mother yelled at me.
D- Why?( sits beside his father)
Gosin- She called me crazy.
D- Daddd.( hugs his father tightly)
Gosin- But, you left for 3 months, didn't you? And in one month..
D- I'll tell you everything. But where's mother?
Gosin- At the station. Today's Thursday. She's gone to buy the Thai Lottery. She's been buying lottery tickets for the past two years. But she's never won anything more than 100 baht.
Both father and son laughs out loud unaware of Dunk's mother coming from behind ....

Tao- Enough! The son's back and the father can't stop yapping.
Dunk approaches his mom smiling widely....
D- Mom.( Hugs his mother)
Tao- Why didn't you say you're coming? I would've prepared something for you. We live off on fritters. But now that you're here, we'll make something nice. Give me 100 baht.....I'll get something from the market. We'll make something good today.
D- Mother, I...didn't get paid.
Tao- Why?
D- I met someone. He said he'll give me a chance to be a singer, in films.So I..
Tao- You believed him. And quit your job.
Tao is disappointed and looks at her husband who signals her to keep quite ...She just walks quietly inside to the kitchen and starts preparation.....Dunk follows her .
D- Mom. Mom. Everything will be okay. Trust me. It's just a matter of few days.Once I start working.
Tao- So? I only have 300 baht....300 baht.. Your father doesn't earn a penny. He.. keeps repairing everyone's radio and TV's for free.
Gosin comes inside too...standing next to Dunk.
Gosin to Tao- What are you saying?
Tao shouts - Let me speak. Is this why I sent you to the best teachers? Taught you to speak good english. So that you can become a great.....I stitched clothes to pay for your fees. Finally you found a job, but you quit that as well. ( Gosin hits his forehead) And..I don't win.. the jackpot either. I thought if you get some money.....I will manage a few months. Tao- Let's see whether anyone will lend me money or not.
Tao walks out of the kitchen , pass by Dunk and his father to go out ....Dunk wants to follows her but Gosin stops him .
D- Mom.... Mom.... Mom.... Listen to me.
Gosin- Dunk. ( holds both of Dunk's arms ) Let her go. Actually, it's not her fault. She's always seen poverty. And I never gave her anything either. But look. All our hopes are with you. We want good things for you.( strokes his head)
D- Dad. First time someone's believed in me. First time I believed in someone. He came all the way from Pattaya, only for me. And he's gone to talk to someone for me, Dad.
