Lunch break 2

Scara, Aether and I walked towards our regular lunch table. Kazhua and Kinich where already sitting at their usual spot. As my eyes met with Kinich, he gave me a small smile. He looked down at the table as if he was a bit embarrassed.

"When's the next party gonna be", I asked Kazuha as we sat down. "You seemed to have had a lot off fun", Kazuha started, "but I'm not sure when the next one is gonna be. Could take a while". "I have to say, I kinda did", I replied taking my lunch out off my backpack.

"What about the cabin?", Kinich suddenly asked Kazuha. I looked at him confused. "We booked for five people, I don't think there are more beds available", Kazuha replied simply. "Well..", Aether suddenly started, "there might be a spot left".

They all looked at Aether. "You're not coming anymore?", Scara asked him. "No, thats not it. I am.. but Xiao isn't", he finished. "Who's Xiao and what cabin are you talking about?", I asked interupting them. I did not understand what they were talking about.

"We've rented a cabin for this weekend", Kazuha started, "we were planning on going with the five off us". "I'm coming, but Xiao isn't. We.. kinda broke up a few weeks back", Aether said. All eyes were suddenly back on him. "Why? What happened?", Scara asked with a concerned tone in his voice. "Nothing much.. he was just a bit to possesive", Aether replied. "I already found it weird you kissed Hunter at the party, but I didn't think anything off it. Shy didn't you tell us?", Kazuha asked. I blushed a bit at his question remembering the kiss.. I would lie if I said I didn't want to do it again..

"I.. didn't know how", Aether started, "but that does mean we have a spot left?".

I noticed Kazuha looking at Scara, which I did too.. Scara suddenly rolled his eyes and sighed. "Fine, he can come", he said. I kinda didn't know how to feel after seeing Scara's reaction. "If you don't want me there, just say so", I said to him. "Ignore him", I suddenly heard Kinich say, "we'd love you there".

I turned my head to look at him and a small smile appeared on my face. "Sure", I said while nodding. I couldn't say no to Kinich..

"You two seem to have gotten closer over the weekend", Kazuha said to me. I looked at Kazuha and spoke up with a smile. "I couldn't stand him at the start, but he's actually kinda nice", I replied. "You were the one who ran into me", Kinich said just hard enough for everyone to hear. They all started laughing before Kazuha spoke up again. "Kinish told me you've even been texting during class". Aether suddenly almost spit out his drink. "What? Did I say something wrong?", but Aether only started laughing, and Scara followed him. I know I was blushing a bit, and I could almost feel kinich was too. I looked to the right to look at him, I wanted to speak up, but something suddenly caught my eyes.

A bruise on his arm?

"What happened here?", I suddenly asked Kinish as I lift his sleeve up a bit. "Nothing", Kinich said suddenly pushing my hand away, almost as if he didn't want us to see. "Kinich?", Aether said as he stopped laughing. "Just drop it", he replied back a bit more angry. "Dude, if he keeps on doing that to you, you have to report him. Its not normal", Aether said. "Its not that simple..", Kinich replied. "Someone did that to you?", I asked him as my eyes widened. "Its nothing for you to worry about", he replied to me trying to calm me down.

"His asshole off a father did that. We've been telling Kinich to just report him, but he won't", Kazuha suddenly said in a weird tone. I've.. never seen him that angry before..

"Guys, just drop it. I'll deal with it", he said almost angrily and everyone suddenly stayed quiet. I looked at Kinich who was lost in his thoughts.. how.. could someone hurt someone so perfect..

"I'm sorry..", I said to him, but I didn't get a reply. "So", Scara started, "we're going to a cabin in the woods with the five off us then?". "It would be a nice getaway", Kazuha said, "we just have to figure out who's sleeping with who in a room, because they only have two". "We'll figure that out when we're there", Aether replied.

"Wait, how are we gonna get there?", I asked, "what do I need to pack? How long are we going for". "Wow chill", Scara started, "Kazuha and Kinich have a drivers licence and we'll go from friday till monday". "Don't.. we have school on monday?", I asked him. "Is that gonna stop you from joining us?", he asked back knowing we did have school that day. I guess they're just gonna skip a day.

And I can miss a day as well.. right?

"Don't worry about anything, Hunter. We've got everything covered", Aether said, "food, rent, everything. Xiao already payed his part, so I guess you don't have to".

"Well.. I guess I can't wait then", I said happily.

I looked to the right again and Kinich was still zoned out. I wish I could help him.. even if it was with anything at all. Noone deserves to go through that.. and I have so many questions. But he made himself clear that he did not want to talk about it..

I kinda just wanted to give him a hug..
