Jungkook woke up to an empty bed, a sad pout forming on his lips as he realized Adeline wasn't next to him.

"Ever since she became the CEO of her father's company, she never stays for morning kisses or breakfast," he whined to himself, feeling a familiar ache in his heart.

He rolled over, hoping to find her lingering scent on the pillow, but it was just a reminder of her absence. Jungkook sighed, wishing for those quiet mornings filled with laughter and warmth, where they would share sleepy kisses and lazy breakfasts together.

Throwing the sheets away, Jungkook stood up naked and walked toward the mirror. As he caught sight of his reflection, he noticed his chest and neck painted with Adeline's bite marks and lipstick stains.

"She is so wild, always wild for this, no matter how tired she is," he thought, blushing at the memory of last night. His fingers brushed over the deep, dark marks, his heart racing fast.

"Shit, I need to shower and drop the kids at school!" Jungkook groaned, glancing at the time. Panic washed over him as he hurried into the shower.

The warm water felt refreshing against his skin, helping to shake off the remnants of sleep and the lingering haze from last night. He quickly lathered up, mentally going through his morning routine.

"Okay, quick shower, get dressed, make breakfast, and get the kids ready," he muttered to himself, trying to stay focused.

After rinsing off, he jumped out and dried himself in a rush, throwing on a comfy outfit. He dashed to the kitchen to whip up something quick for Jaehoon and Alice before they had to leave.

Adeline sat in the conference room as the man in front of her slammed the table in utter anger, causing everyone present to flinch—everyone except her.

"Useless! Completely useless presentation, Adeline!" her father shouted, glaring at her with frustration.

Adeline gulped, glancing at her employees, who wore worried expressions. Despite the tension in the room, she remained firm and composed, refusing to let his anger shake her.

"This is what happens when you marry overnight without letting anyone know about it!" her father added, groaning as he rubbed his temples in exasperation.

"You guys can leave," she said to her workers, her voice steady. They nodded quickly, eager to escape the mounting tension, and rushed to gather their things, leaving the conference room.

"I know this isn't what you expected, but my personal life shouldn't affect my work."

Her father glared at her, but Adeline held his gaze, determined not to back down.

"Why did you let them go? They should also know how much of a useless gamer husband you married! Someone who has no career at all! The moment he loses his subscribers, he has no life!" her father added in a defeated tone.

Adeline folded her arms, glaring at him. "Mind your words, Dad. This is my husband you're talking about!" she hissed, her voice low but fierce.

"He is the father of my children! You cannot talk gutter about him," she added, slamming her hand down on the table.

"You may not understand him, but Jungkook is dedicated, and loving, and he supports me in ways you can't see," she continued, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside.

"Just because he's not in a traditional career doesn't make him any less valuable."

"Adeline, I just want what's best for you."

"And I want what's best for my family," she replied firmly. "That includes Jungkook. I need you to respect that."

"What has he ever given you, Adeline?" her father pressed, frustration evident in his voice.

"He is socially awkward, he has no idea how to even start a conversation! All he can do at parties is keep quiet or lean into your neck like some freaking baby, despite being a grown man!"

"That's not fair, Dad! Jungkook may not be the life of the party, but he's genuine and kind. He has his own way of connecting with people."

"Connecting?" her father scoffed. "You call that connecting? He's a liability, Adeline! You're a CEO now, you need someone who can stand beside you, not someone who hides in your shadow."

"Jungkook is not a liability! He's supportive and loving, and he's an amazing father to our kids!" she shot back, her voice rising.

"You need to see beyond his social awkwardness and recognize the man he is."

Her father crossed his arms, clearly unimpressed. "You're blinded by love, and it's going to cost you. You can't build a life on affection alone."

"He gifted me a $30 million mansion in Miami—something you never have and never will! He has over 50 million subscribers, and his monthly income is still a lot more than you can ever have!" she shot back, her voice fierce.

"He has given me everything you failed to give! He loves me and makes sure I am happy with everything!" Adeline's eyes blazed with conviction, refusing to back down.

"Look at you! You've become so shameless. What has he made you? You walk around with marks all over your neck, not caring what your employees think of you!" Her father tsked, shaking his head in disbelief as he turned to leave the conference room.

"I am not shameless! I am proud of my love with my husband! At least it wasn't a loveless life like yours and Mom's!" she yelled after her father, but he had already left the room.

Adeline sank back into her seat, her eyes burning with anger as her fists tightened at her sides. The confrontation had left her feeling both frustrated and determined.

Just then, her phone began ringing. She glanced at the screen and saw that Jungkook was video-calling her. With a sigh, she declined the call, rubbing her temples to ease the tension in her aching head.

Moments later, her phone buzzed again with a message. She opened it to find a playful text from Jungkook: "Babe... Your hubby is extremely hard with thoughts of you. What should he do?" Accompanying the message was a photo that displayed his hard erection.

"Jungkook not now!" Adeline typed back.

"Oh, you're ignoring me, my fucking sexy wife? Alright, let me tell you what I'm doing right now then. I've just spread your lingerie on the bed and I'm lying on it, breathing in your scent."

Adeline quickly dialed his number, and on the first ring, Jungkook picked up. "What the heck, Jungkook? Don't you know I'm in the office working?" she groaned at him, frustration lacing her voice.

"A-Adeline... I-I thought we used to do this before... I-I thought..." he mumbled, his stuttering tone making her heart ache a little.

"I have a full-time job to complete, unlike you, who just sits and plays games!" she yelled, her irritation boiling over, she dropped the phone onto her desk.
