Two months later.

James received a call from Josh asking him to come to his place. Once James arrives, Josh's mom invites him in. He thanks her and goes into Josh's room.

"Babe?" James said, announcing his presence.

Josh walks out of his bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist; he'd just gotten out of the shower. He looks good, but his body has sustained a few scars from the terrible treatment by his parents.

"Welcome to my humble abode." Josh greeted, walking closer to James and pushing him down onto his bed.

"I've been here plenty of times before, but thank you?" James said breathily.

"Shhh..." Josh shushed him, sitting on James' lap and pushing his lips onto James'.

James liked the kiss; he did. It was from his boyfriend. Of course, he did, but his demeanor had changed recently. Josh begins kissing James' neck until James stops him.

"Stop, I'm not ready for that." James sighed.

He pushed Josh onto the bed beside him and stood up. James had noticed the freshly cleaned cut on Josh's neck and watched Josh's eyes well with tears.
"Wait..." James muttered.

"Get the fuck out..." Josh demanded,

"But I didn't-"

"Just get the fuck out, dumbass!" Josh shouts, startling James.

He locks eye contact with Josh, it was very tense. James wasn't sure if he heard Josh correctly, but he was sure he did. He didn't want to believe he heard him correctly. Josh had never been rude to James before but he had gone through a lot.

"What did you call me?" James asked.

He wanted Josh to repeat what he said, at least so he could know if he heard him correctly. Josh stood before James.

"Dumbass," Josh repeated, and James inhaled sharply, nodding.

"Okay," James mumbled before turning around and walking out of the room.

Josh falls to his knees, bringing his knees to his chest and breaking down, tears in his eyes,

"Please, don't leave me," Josh whispered, feeling tears roll down his cheeks and under his chin, sliding down his neck as he felt the horrid sting from the tear going into the cut.

"Stupid parents..." Josh murmured, balling up on the floor, finding comfort in the cold marble.

Hours Later.

James is in the living room with Roselyn, laughing and talking. They get interrupted by a knock on the front entrance. They both freeze, debating who will answer the door.

"I'll get it," James says, jumping off the couch.
James opens the door; Josh hugs him tightly. James wasn't surprised to see it was Josh, he was kind of reassured though. It seemed like no matter what happened, the world would bring them back together.

"Jamessss..." he muttered, dragging the s.

"Come on," James says, letting Josh in and guiding him to his room.

James lays Josh on his bed, and sits beside him. He can feel the air growing thinner by the second. James glances over at Josh before finally speaking.

"What are you doing here, and what happened to your neck?" James asks, concerned.
