Jungkook kept staring at the moon as the cart was taking him through the deep forest. The moon reminded him of Erelah, the woman he deeply fell in love with.
He sighed.
It has already been seven hours of his journey and it was going to take a few more good hours to reach the Kingdom of Ruhan. He was tired of sitting in the same position on the little cart. However his eyes held determination despite his exhaustion. He was determined to meet the mighty princess and tell her about his undying love.
Would she reject him?
He wouldn’t let her.
She might find it ridiculous that he only knew her for a day and he's already claiming her as the love of his life. But no matter how funny it was, he was going to make her understand his love for her.
"Sir if you don't mind may i ask why do you wish to go to the Kingdom of Ruhan?"
The cart rider suddenly asked him.
Jungkook contemplated a bit if he should give him an honest answer or not. But nonetheless he decided to give him the correct answer in case if he gets some important news about Erelah or anything related to her from the cart rider.
"I want to meet Princess Erelah Avery"
"Oh sorry sir but I don't think you would get to meet her"
"And why is that?"
"No ordinary man would get to meet her unless they are one of the selected concubines".
Selected concubines?
"She has concubines?"
Jungkook asked perplexed.
"She started to. She believes if a male royal gets to keep concubines for themselves then female royals should get to do the same too. Guess what she is the first female royal to do something as ironic as that"
Jungkook felt hurt that the love of his life keeps concubines to fulfill her needs.
He felt a pang in his heart just at the thought of another man getting their hands on her body.
"Does she select the concubines herself?"
"No. She has a man to do the work for her. My nephew applied to be her concubine last week and he got selected. Heard her concubines get a handsome amount of wages"
