The next day, everyone was walking in the direction of where the race was. In the crowd, the three miner bots made their way through. "The Iacon 5000 is finally here!" D-16 smiled with excitement. "I have a surprise for you two. Come on." Orion said as he grabbed Silverstorm's servo. "Where are you going?" D-16 looked at his Orion in disbelief. "The stadium's that way!" He pointed to where everyone else was heading. "Yeah, yeah, I know." Orion said, walking away. "Just follow me." Silverstorm was trying to keep up since Orion was still pulling her. "Great! We're going to be late now!" D-6 threw his servos up as he followed Orion.

Orion Pax led them further away from the path, opening a hidden but illegal route they weren't supposed to trespass. D-16 grew more irritated. "I wanted good seats." D-16 muttered. "Orion, are you sure we're supposed to be here? It doesn't feel safe." Silverstorm said, grunting as she tried not to break anything in the path. "Will be fine, Silverstorm. Don't worry." Orion responded. They are found themselves squeezing through pipes. "I came all this way to miss the opening ceremony." D-16 said sarcastically. "This is a wonder...." Silverstorm sighs with annoyance. "Trust me, I know what I am doing." Orion smiled back.

The three ran down a section where the tunnel had an opening with a giant fan, making the opened part glow red. "Hold up!" Orion yelled, stopping his other two friends. "Get caught in one of those, and it'll launch you halfway across the city." Orion explained about the fans, quickly heading to the other side. "Okay, where are you taking us?" D-16 asked, still annoyed by his friend's idea. "I know this is fun for you like it's a playground. But if you make me miss any part of Iacon 5000, I swear, I will melt your face right off..." D-16 said, looking through the red window. "Welcome to Iacon 5000! Put your hands together as today's competitors are taking the field!" D-16 gasped in disbelief as Orion smirked at him. "Wow! Got to say this, Orion, but this is so cool to see." Silverstorm commented. Orion turned at her and smiled. "Look, look, there's Thunderglide and Behemoth. This is unbelievable! I feel like I am in the race!" D-16 said with excitement. He turned to face Orion Pax. "...You did this for me?" Silverstorm smiled at him. "No." Orion shook his head. "I did this for us." He held up a servo, which Silverstorm and D-16 fist-bumped.

Tall lights lit up from the stadium, waving in the air as they waited for someone to drop by. "Now, the moment you've all been waiting for." Lights pointed up to a tall, golden building as a blue and golden mech stretched out to fly. The Iacon of Iacon, the savior of Cybertron, Quintessons fear him, but we love him!" The mech fell and flew through the air, making a loop around the cheering crowd."Our leader, the one and only Sentinel Prime!" The mech landed on the pad, smiling as he turned to face the crowd of Cybertronains and racers. "Yes! It feels so good to be here with you all today!" Sentinal yelled. The crowd went wild, cheering for his leader's presence. "My friends, my Cybertronian family." he continued, the crowd quieting down. "It's been precisely fifty cycles since the Quintessons attacked our home." The lights darkened around everyone, focusing most of the lights onto the Prime. "Fifty cycles... since we lost the Matrix of Leadership and our Energon supply dried up. Fifty cycles since the battle killed the other Primes, brothers, and sisters in arms." He turned around to face the racers. "Today, we honor the Primes who gave their lives for ours and show them the strength of Cybertron will never be diminished." Holograms projected, showing all of the 13 Primes. D-16 was interested in the Megatronous Prime while Orion Pax stared at the Alpha Trion Prime. Silverstorm looked at them all at once. "Racers! On your marks!" Sentinel Prime raised his arms.

All participating racers began their transformation into their vehicle modes in different sizes and shapes. "I can't believe we get to watch it from the starting line!" D-16 yelled. "The best seats of..." A sudden interruption cut him off, and he felt a jetpack on his shoulders. Turning to face Orion Pax with confusion, D16 asked, "Why did you bring jetpacks?" Orion then put on Silverstorm and smiled at her. The signaling light for the race turned yellow, signaling the upcoming start of the race. "It's time to show them that we are more than meets the eye." Orion Pax announced with a smile, drawing inspiration from Sentinel Prime's words. D-16's excitement turned into fear and worry. His smile faltered as he realized the situation. "Oh no..." Silverstorm realized that this was the plan to get in the race. "Uhh, Orion. I don't think this is a good idea!" Silverstorm said, looking at him worried. The sound of Sentinel Prime firing a bullet marked, and the racers raced forward at maximum speed. "And they are off!" the announcer yelled. As the signaling light turned green and the platform beneath the three miners opened, they fell to the ground.
