Mr Park sat across the bed, his fist resting against the fabric of bed as he watched Jimin, who was standing infront of him, his head hung low and hands tied behind

The time crawled by, each second passing heavier than the last, the faint yet frantic beats of Jimin's heart and their quite breathing was the only source of sound echoing against the walls

After what felt like an eternity, Mr Park's cold voice dispersed the heavy fog of silence, "What are you thinking about?"

Jimin, seemingly broken his chain of thoughts, gulped down his guts, his eyes fluttering in a rhythm of anxiety, "Hu-huh...? D...dad?"

Mr Park rolled his eyes, annoyed by Jimin's facade of innocence. A heavy huff left his lips as he spoke, "You know what? You're getting an divorce"

Those words hit him like a ton of bricks, his breath hitched at his throat, stuck there as an inevitable lump, an obstacle to form the right words inorder of defiance

This couldn't be.

Mr Park's observation was meticulous, and there was no way to abscond the unerring accusation. Things aren't supposed to happen like this.

Atleast, that's what Jimin wished.

An another chain of silence manifested, broken curtly by Jimin's low voice, devoid of any emotions other than lurking fear, "But Dad, this....why are you talking about this?"

A bitter chuckle left Mr Park's lips as he spoke in a firm voice, filled with coldness that made Jimin shiver, "You're so ridiculous, Jimin. Stop playing games" he scoffed

Jimin gulped, unsure of the decision accentuated by his father, the decision was taut, infuriating, but determined. This wasn't something he was expecting to happen, or was he?

He never wanted an life with Yoongi, not even one. but somehow, he wanted to be with him, it was longing desire, a desire that blindfolded him

He wasn't sure if it was a momentary lapse in the married life, or just an accelerated temptation to devour the other for a time being. But one thing was for sure, they both were tangled in the ties of their intertwined lives

Now, the person who tied their lives, who dispersed their individual souls, was ready to unite it, to free them from this golden cage of marriage. However, will the broken souls concur with him?

The atmosphere fell into deep silence once again, the air thick with tension and a ocean of deep thoughts. Jimin stood there, his each muscles firm as breathe held tightly in his chest, a unfamiliar unease settling in there, unable to let the air free

His eyes darted onto the reccuring patterns of the marble floor, unsure of what to reply of his father's unwavering query. His palms fell cold, so does his nerves, he did wrong, and he was facing the consequences

The silenced atmosphere got broken by Mr Park's firm voice, lacerating through the air, "Look Jimin, I'm not in mood to play around. Speak up. Your pearls are not gonna fall"

This surely got Jimin a bit taken aback, he stumbled upon his words, babbling in a faltered mein, "D..dad...I...i don't-this....I-i can't...tha- huu...I can't"

Mr Park rubbed his temples, his fingertips harshly grinding on his skin, with a heavy sigh, he yelled, "Shut up Jimin!" That one was enough to stop Jimin's babble, he froze, standing like a lifeless body, "I told you to talk, not babble, Just, just get lost!"

Mr Park stood against the wall, his fists resting on the cold metal of the railings, featuring the balcony with calming breezes and chiming of little sparrows, the sky painted in a blend of orange and purple, the setting sun casting soft shadows across the pole

Out of the blue, Yoongi walked in, his fingers draped on the handle of a coffee cup, making sure he didn't hurt his injuried wrist. Mr Park, sensing Yoongi's presence, turned his attention towards the other, "Yoongi? Why are you here?"

Yoongi remained silence, streching the coffee cup to Mr Park who took it, then spoke, "Nothing Appa, Just came to give you a coffee"

Mr Park smiled, "You could've called me" he said in a gentle voice, his tone a constant reminder of the support he was casting on the latter, "Yoongi, can I ask you something?" He asked, his voice sounding serious, but a familiar contrast to his previous tone

Yoongi stopped, looking back at the older male who held a precise look by now, "Yes appa"

Mr Park took a deep breath, shifting his body in a more serious posture, facing Yoongi, "Do you want to divorce Jimin?" He asked in one go, not a single spark of hesitation visible

Yoongi froze, he wasn't expecting this topic would be adopted by Mr Park, he wasn't sure. Really. He was used to everything, from a young age till now.

He couldn't unleash their relationship like nothing.

"Appa?" Yoongi stammered, unable to find the right words that stumbled upon the tip of his tongue

Mr Park watched his struggle, knowing well what's running on the latter's mind, he knew Yoongi wouldn't give up easily, even if it costs anything. He knew Yoongi years before, ever since he was his student

He sighed, keeping his fingertip under Yoongi's chin as he rose it gently, locking his eyes with him, "Look Yoongi, I'm not joking. This is your life, not any joke to keep aside, you know me well that I'm not going to ignore it anyway. But I'll never fail to consider your thoughts, so think well about this"

Yoongi remained silence, his gaze darting anywhere but never meeting the other's. He knew Mr Park well, but that doesn't mean he should just leave this marriage without a proper decision, but being confined still to Jimin was daunting

"Think well" Mr Park said before leaving the place, leaving Yoongi all alone in there

Now, Yoongi was left with a choice, neither to be confined in the hell nor to let go of this. His heart skipped a beat at the thought of spending the rest of his life with Jimin, but at the same time, he was reluctant to let go of their marriage

He had fell for Jimin, without his own consent or willing, the involuntary act now costs his happiness, but he was left hopeless. Unsure of the feelings that he had grown overtime for Jimin, even after all the worst he had gone through

Was it really love? Or fear?

Maybe, in a million chances, maybe, if Jimin could just love him back, just take care of him, just treat him with respect. He would throw everything away just for him, and would gladly accept it so. If only it was possible

Despite his longing hopes, the desperate glint of love for him in Jimin's eyes was never shown, always pushing his expectations aside. Then how could he even expect Jimin to love him? Isn't that foolish?

Maybe, he could just let go of this marriage so easily, without tugging Jimin to show some love, without annoying his unloving husband. If he could just, just leave this marriage, should he?

Should he just give up without a second chance to recollect the broken pieces, it would take time, he knew, to find the missing pieces and stick them together in a frame again, to hang it again in it's right place, to admire it as anything. Would a second chance worth it?
