Love Notes And Lockers

Chapter 4

Hunter

"You did what!?" Mistake number three telling Scarlett about my bet with Ethan. "I said I made a deal with Ethan." She rolls her eyes. "Oh I heard you the first time. I'm waiting to see if you realize just how ridiculous this is." Women I swear. "I know exactly how ridiculous it is, but I'm not looking for a lecture I'm asking for your help." She looks at me like I've grown two heads. "You want me to help you lie to Aria?" Yes. "No. I want you to help me win her over." She's quiet for a moment "Well that's not how you do it. Sorry to tell you, but I refuse to get involved." Seriously. "Please. You don't even have to do much you can just give me ideas." I put my hands together in a begging motion. "Alright fine, but I swear if I see Aria will get hurt I'm telling her." I think for a moment. "Alright deal." She's rolls her eyes. "For your sake and the people around you stop making deals." I smile. "I think I can do that."
"Well you better. Okay. personally I think you should write letters to her and put them in her locker." That could work... "Okay I see where you going with this but, what does one put in a love letter?" Again with the two heads look. "You're kidding. It's literally in the name. Love. Letter. Just write what you love about her." The bell rings. "I gotta go but, good luck." I nod in thanks. "Write what you love about her. Shouldn't be too hard."

Turns out it's pretty damn hard, but I managed to write something that shows I care for her, but won't scare her away - I hope - The amount of hours I spent tapping the pen on my chin not knowing what to write is insane. I've put the note in her locker that part was pretty easy thanks to my friend Billy. He's the guy who keeps the school clean. I told him my idea and he was more than happy to help me out. So now I'm currently standing behind a wall in front of a classroom door that gives me the perfect view of Aria and Scarlett chatting it up by her locker. This is it... She's opening the locker... Come on come on. Yes she's seen it. Well she's smiling so I'm guessing it worked so if I play my cards right she should be mine by the end of the year. That's if a certain brother doesn't screw it up.

"You did what!?" Well what do you know he screwed it up. Are we surprised? No. I'm so mad I storm out of the house, but Ethan follows. "Relax it's not that bad." He's gotta be joking right now. "Not that bad. NOT. THAT. BAD. Do you have any idea of what you've just done."
"Dude chill. It's just a harmless little note."
"Harmless he says."
"Can you stop repeating what I say."
"Remind me again what you wrote."
"The smell of your perfume follows me in my dreams from your secret admirer." I'm about to punch his lights out when Scarlett comes out of nowhere and stands between us. "What the hell is going on here?" She says as she puts distance between us. "This idiot of here just screwed up everything."
"How so?"
"This idiot decided to write Aria a note today and leave it in her locker."
"You did what!?" Scarlett is now just as angry. "It's a harmless note."
"What it say?"
"The smell of your perfume follows me in my dreams from your secret admirer." She's quiet for a moment. "Say that again."
"Your perfume follows..."
"No no the last part."
"From your secret admirer."
"From not love?"
"Yeah why?" She's smiles in relief. "What's going on?" Ethan asks as she looks to me. "Hunter puts love not from." I start to realize where she's going with this. "You haven't completely screwed up what a surprise." Ethan rolls his eyes at my comment. "Now that that's cleared up Ethan." Scarlett puts her hand on Ethan's shoulder. "Get a new idea and stop trying to sabotage Hunter." It's then that Aria decides to make an appearance. I'm still so livid with my brother and I don't want her to see me mad so I just decide to go inside and up to me room. I walk in and go straight to my bedroom window and see Aria walking to her door. "How fast did I walk? " She must feel my gaze because she looks up at we stand there for what feels like forever until she goes to unlock the door. I take that moment to hide behind my curtain. I see her look up and I swear I see a hint of what seems like sadness before I try figure it out she disappears into the house I decide to wait until she gets to her room just to make sure she's Okay. Sure enough her door opens and she walks in. I see he mumble something to herself she has a habit of talking to herself. I love it when she does especially when she's trying to solve a problem or just in deep thought. The way she scrunches up her face is so adorable. I smile to myself because this is one of those moments. She then goes and grabs pj's and disappears. I decided to carry on reading my book so I get all comfy by my window and read. I'm not sure how much time has passed, but I see movement out the corner of my eye. I look to see what it was and see Aria I grab my phone to message her since I got her number from Scarlett. I've been waiting for the perfect moment and been trying to think of what to say without sounding stupid.

Safe to say I blew it. I'll admit it wasn't my best approach, but honestly it's hard to not come off as stupid when she's around. She's just so confident, funny, smart, honest, and so beautiful. I get so nervous when I'm around her which is ironic since no one's ever been able to have that affect on me. and she smells like freaking vanilla it drives me insane. I've never like vanilla until her. I'm so lost in thoughts of her I don't hear my dad enter the room. It's only when he clears his throat do I know he's there. "How long have you been standing there?"
"Not long, but long enough to catch you starting at Aria's window for the past few minutes." He flat out laughs at me. "Relax it's no secret you like her. Everyone knows." I look back toward her window. "Everyone, but her." I hear him left out a deep breath. "She will and once she knows you're the one behind the letters in her locker everything will fall into place." I turn back to look at him. "How do you know that?"
"It's not that hard to see. You're perfect for each other even a blind person can see it."
"She doesn't seem to think so."
"Well in order for that to change you actually have talk to her and actually spend time with her."
"Easier said than done."
"Have you at least tried talking to her?" I think of the few conversations we've had and smile. "I'll take that as a yes so if you could do it once or twice you can do it again." Mans got a point. "Well I'll leave you to come up with something." I nod and smile at my dad he smiles back and leaves. I turn back to Aria's window and try come up with a plan to spend more time with her.
