"Hello?"
Crystal heart dropped when she heard a familiar voice speaking on the other side...
Very familiar...
She glanced her eyes back to Rosie and alerted her that something was different or maybe even wrong
"Who's this"
Crystal stood silent, the rapid beating in her chest increased.
She breathed out and swallowed the big lump in her throat
"What is it?"
Rosie grew impatient and wanted to know what the delay was
"Listen, I can hear you breathing and your friend bickering, quit calling my phone"
The phone call was cut when the line went dull
"Well who was it? Did we call the wrong number?"
Crystal stood still.
Did I really hear his voice or was it my imagination?
"I think that was..."
Rosie waited patiently for an answer
"Paco?"
Rosie's face grew pale with a shock expression written all over.
Rosie immediately dialed the number again but no answer
"Maybe I called a different number"
Crystal tried to brush off the thought of have calling the right number and hearing Paco speak again.
She had a feeling he would just forget about her so she had no hope but for some reason hearing his voice again gave her...confidence??
"I'm pretty sure it was the right one"
Rosie spoke fast almost as if she was trying to hurry
"How would you know that"
Crystal shifted her weight onto her left leg as she got comfortable
"I just know"
Rosie let out a shivered breath
"And why is it so cold, is it just me"
