Day dreaming
By : Aretha Franklin

Crystals eyes watered from the burning sensation. She hadn't slept and was tossing and turning all night. She listened to the birds chirping and the creaks of the old wooden floors. Crystals mind wandered to Paco. Her imagination was running wild and that kiss changed something in her. She was thinking of Paco.

In a way she'd never thought about. His lips on hers. His hands holding her waist barely touching her skin. His need of more and her need of more. The quietness they shared after the kiss and the after care he gave her.

Something inside her buzzed and the pearl between her legs grew hungry of something more. Crystal thought of his body. His big shoulders and his muscular appearance. His attire and what he wore. How he carried himself. How he became protective for the people he loved and how he was willing to risks his life for another's. Everything about him was attractive to her.

She wished she could get past the talking stage and the awkwardness and go in for a kiss anytime she felt like it but that isn't how things work. Her stomach tightened and she silently squirmed to herself being careful not to wake Rosie up whom she had completely forgotten about.

Cruz.

Crystal didn't like how things worked here. She didn't like how cruel people were now and days. How people carried and handled themselves and each other. She didn't like the way things were going but she had no control over that. She was afraid one day she'd lose Paco or something similar to the situation with Cruz would happen to her and Paco.

Boys 18 and under. Fighting over stupid stuff. Or who's has better taste in women. Things that didn't matter in the modern world. They became too cocky and competitive and Crystal wanted to tell them about themselves but feared for herself.

What would have happened if Rosie wasn't there to help Cruz. How far would they have actually gone if Rosie wasn't apparent. Would they have done worse. Would they have killed her along with him right then and there.

Guilt washed over Crystal. Her thoughts were interrupted by the moving body sleeping sound asleep next to her. The girl raised up from her spot in the silk bed and removed her self from the room shutting the door quietly behind her.

Crystal made her way to the kitchen to look for something appealing to her eyes and that wouldn't upset her stomach. The cold breeze and the low buzzing became more apparent as she opened the fridge in hopes to find a good bowl of fruits or something like meat for a quick sandwich. To her surprise.

No food was in the fridge.

A loud sigh escaped from her lips as she grabbed the half empty carton of orange juice and placed it onto the counter. This was her 3rd time opening Rosie's fridge to see nothing in it. That explains why her friend was so skinny. She never ate proper meals. Her eyes moved over to the cabinet to find a glass cup she could use. When she did she wasted no time and chugged most of the juice down.
