Amar led them to a hidden safehouse on the outskirts of the city, a place that seemed prepared for situations like this. The old man couldn’t help but wonder how Amar had access to such resources. As they settled in, Amar finally spoke.

"I’ve been involved in some things over the years , things I’m not proud of," he admitted. "But I’ve kept an eye on our family, even if I wasn’t around. When I heard Rajan was after you, I knew I had to step in."

Aarav eyed his uncle warily. "So you’re telling us you’ve been working with people like Rajan?"

Amar sighed. "Not exactly. But I know the world he operates in. I’ve made my share of enemies, and Rajan is one of them. That’s why I can help you. But you need to trust me."

The old man felt torn. Amar was offering them protection, but his sudden reappearance after all these years raised more questions than answers. Could they trust him, or was this just another layer of deception in the tangled web they had found themselves caught in?

As the night wore on, the old man tried to rest, but sleep wouldn’t come. His mind was filled with doubts, memories of the past, and fears for the future. He couldn’t shake the feeling that every step they took only led them deeper into danger.

In the early hours of the morning, a low hum of voices woke him. He found Aarav and Amar huddled together, whispering urgently. The old man strained to listen, catching fragments of their conversation.

"....can’t trust him. He’s hiding something," Aarav was saying.

"I know," Amar replied quietly. "But right now, he’s our best chance."

The old man’s heart sank. Even his brother wasn’t fully on their side. The question that haunted him now was ,if Amar wasn’t their true ally, then who was pulling the strings?
