Without wasting a moment, Anika led Aarav and the old man out the back door of the apartment building. They moved quickly through the dark alleyways, trying to stay out of sight. The sound of approaching footsteps echoed behind them, and the old man’s heart raced with fear. He could feel the tension in the air, the sense that they were being hunted.
As they turned a corner, they found themselves face to face with a group of Rajan’s men. Anika acted fast, drawing her weapon and firing a warning shot into the air. "Get down!" she shouted, pushing Aarav
and the old man behind a parked car.
A tense standoff ensued, with Anika trying to hold off the attackers while Aarav and his father stayed low. The old man could hear the gunfire, the shouts, the chaos all around them. It was a nightmare, and he felt helpless, unable to protect his son.
But just as the situation seemed hopeless, a black van screeched to a halt beside them. The door slid open, revealing a familiar face ,one they never expected to see.
