The morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow across the room where Y/N and Agrima lay peacefully asleep. Both were nestled under their cozy blankets, completely oblivious to the chaotic morning awaiting them.
Neha - “Uth jao, Maharani sahibao! Are you both planning to miss your flight?”
Neha’s voice rang through the room like a siren as she burst in, her hands firmly placed on her hips. Neha-“Do you know what time it is? You both are still sleeping like princesses!” Yn- “Aur thodi der sone do, mummy...”
Yn grumbled and pulled the blanket over her head, attempting to block out the noise and light.
Neha - “Aur thodi der? Main tumhe dikhati hoon thodi der!” Yn- “Five more minutes, mummy…”
She marched over to the window and yanked the curtains open, flooding the room with blinding light. Neha-“It's not a Sunday picnic, girls! Your jet leaves in two hours! Get up before I throw water on both of you!"
Agrima squinted at the clock, the numbers finally registering in her sleepy brain.
Agrima - “Wait… two hours? WHAT?!”
she yelped, her eyes wide as saucers.
Yn - “We’re LATE?!”
Yn sat bolt upright, her hair sticking up in every direction as she sprang out of bed so fast that she almost toppled over.
Both girls scrambled in different directions, creating a whirlwind of chaos in the room. Clothes were flying, bags were getting tossed around, and in the middle of it all, they dashed to the bathroom, crashing into each other.
Agrima - “Yn, wo mera towel hai!”
Agrima shouted, grabbing her towel back.
Yn- “Who cares about towels right now?”
Y/N shot back, yanking open the bathroom door.
The next few minutes passed in a blur of frantic activity. Agrima came out of the shower first, but in her panic, she grabbed Yn’s shirt and threw it on. Yn, in her rush, grabbed Agrima’s pants and struggled to fit into them.
When they finally emerged, Mrs. Agarwal did a double-take, unable to believe her eyes. Agrima was wearing socks on her hands like gloves, and Yn had one shoe on and a scarf wrapped around her waist.
Neha - “What on earth…”
she murmured, shaking her head. Neha-“Agrima, look at yourself! And Y/N, are you trying to set a new fashion trend?”
Agrima - “Oh my God! Why are my socks on my hands?!”
Agrima looked down at her hands.
Yn - “Wait—are those… my clothes?”
Yn stared at Agrima, realization dawning on her.
Agrima - “Oh no, I’m wearing your shirt! But why are your pants so tight?”
Agrima glanced at herself and then at Yn.
Yn - “Because they’re not mine, they’re yours!”
Y/N groaned, face-palming.
Neha - “Maharani sahibao, I’ve never seen anyone dress in such royal fashion. Who wears gloves on their feet and socks on their hands?”
Mrs. Agarwal burst out laughing, clutching her stomach.
Both girls looked at each other and then at Mrs. Agarwal.
Yn & Agrima - “Mummy, we’re seriously going to miss our jet!” they wailed in unison.
Neha - “Jaao aur change karo, warna tum dono circus ke costume mein airport pahunch jaogi! Jaldi karo!”
She hurried them out of the room, still chuckling at the sight of her two drama queens running around like headless chickens.
As the girls frantically changed into the right outfits, they couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. In the midst of the chaos, Yn looked at Agrima and shook her head.
Yn - “Agli baar, main alarm set karungi. Aise morning surprises nahi chahiye.”
