Clarissa paused a moment after she read over a file. "Aiden- take a look at this-" Aiden looked up from where he was searching through another file as Clarissa called out to him. He crossed over to where she was standing and took the file from her, his eyes scanning the contents quickly. As he took in the details, his expression darkened. "Looks like Ryuichi was discovered in a fighting ring when he was twelve," he said, his voice low. "And it sounds like he was tortured and experimented on, given his reaction when I first confronted him." The details of the file painted a grim picture, and Aiden's expression grew even more serious as he read through it. "No wonder he's so volatile...he's got some serious trauma to work through." Clarissa's ears flattened. "That's why he hates humans... But not all of them are like that- Surely he has to realize that-" "Perhaps he does," Aiden agreed, his tone thoughtful. "But trauma like that is often hard to overcome, even for the most rational of people." He took the file from Clarissa, his expression troubled. "And if this Project Rabies is what I think it is...it might not matter to Ryuichi whether all humans are good or not. He's clearly on a path of revenge and destruction." She softly nodded in understanding of how serious things were unraveling. "We should keep looking..." Clarissa said urgently returning to going through the file folders and records. Aiden nodded in agreement; his expression still serious. "We have to keep looking," he said. "The sooner we can figure out what Project Rabies is, the better." As they continued to search through the records, Aiden couldn't help but feel a sense of urgency. Hours passed, but they found little useful information. Finally, as the sun began to set outside, Aiden let out a frustrated sigh.

Case No: 52 Date: July 17th 2022
Reporting officer: Alex Harrison Prepared by: Susie BlatesIncident: Local medical research facility breaking and entering along with theft.
Details of event(s): On the night of July 17th 2022, a break-in occurred at a research laboratory that was working on rabies vaccinations. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the perpetrators had stolen a significant amount of research data and test samples. Additionally, several test subject rats were also taken during the break-in.The stolen research data included details about a new and experimental liquid form of the rabies virus, which was being tested as part of the vaccination development process. The loss of this data has set back the progress of the lab's work significantly. The break-in appears to have been carried out by an unknown suspect. The use of enhanced abilities and the spraying of black spray paint on the security CCTV cameras suggest that the suspect may be a half-human hybrid with animal-like features. The specific animal features and the suspect's identity remain unknown. In addition to the black spray paint used to sabotage the security cameras, the suspect also left a distinct calling sign on one of the walls, which appeared to be the outline of a pawprint with a red ring around it. This symbol may indicate that the suspect has a connection with or a strong affiliation with animals. The significance of this symbol is currently unclear and is a focus of the ongoing investigation.

Aiden paused a moment skimming his eyes through a file folder he found from only two years ago. Aiden's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he read through the file. "This break-in...it happened at a medical research facility," he muttered, his tone thoughtful. "And the suspect was a possible half-human hybrid...with animal-like features." As he said the words aloud, he couldn't help but wonder if this was connected to Ryuichi and his crew. He looked up to Clarissa, a spark of curiosity in his eyes. "This break-in...and the theft of experimental rabies research data...it could be related to Project Rabies," he theorized, his voice urgent. "We should show this to Officer Taylor. This might be the lead we've been looking for." "Wait- What kind of theft.. What did they take-" Clarissa stammered concerned. "They took experimental rabies research data, and several test subject rats," Aiden explained, reading through the file again. "The research was for a new and experimental liquid form of the rabies virus. It sounds pretty serious." "And the break-in was carried out by a possible half-human hybrid with animal-like features," Aiden added, his eyes narrowing. "The suspect also left a pawprint with a red ring around it as a calling sign. It sounds suspiciously like Ryuichi's work..." "You think that's some sign of Project Rabies?" Clarissa theorized glancing over his shoulder at the papers. "Yeah- because Ryuichi had a patch on his jacket-" She stated fighting her camera up scrolling the photos to show Aiden the images from the alley. Aiden's eyes widened as he looked at the image of the patch on Ryuichi's jacket. "You're right," he said, his expression serious. "That's the same symbol. It's definitely a connection." He looked down at the file again, his mind racing with possibilities. "Project Rabies...it's all connected. The break-in, the theft of research data, the symbol. It's all part of some plan." Aiden took a deep breath, his mind whirling with thoughts. "We need to tell Officer Taylor about this file. It might be the key to stopping Project Rabies before it's too late." "We have to tell Officer Taylor about this as soon as possible," Aiden said firmly, standing up and gathering the files. "We may have just uncovered the key to stopping whatever Ryuichi and his crew are planning." As Aiden and Clarissa exited the records room, they quickly located Officer Taylor, who was chatting with another officer nearby. When they approached her, Aiden's expression was urgent. "Officer Taylor i need to come with me to Alex's office-" Aiden spoke urgently rushing for his boss's office. "Okay, okay, slow down," Officer Taylor said, a puzzled look on her face as she hurried to keep up with Aiden's quick pace. "What's going on? What's the rush?" "We found something in the records room," Aiden explained as they entered Alex's office, his voice low and serious. "I think it's connected to Project Rabies and Ryuichi's crew. You need to see this." Alex looked up from his desk as they entered, his expression curious. "Project Rabies and Ryuichi's crew? What have you found?" he asked, his attention fully on Aiden. Aiden quickly filled Alex in on their discoveries in the records room, including the break-in at the medical research facility and the symbol left on the wall. "Ryuichi is planning something, something dangerous and large." he said, his voice filled with urgency. Alex listened intently, a frown on his face as he considered the information. "This could be serious," he said, his tone grave. "If Ryuichi's crew is planning something connected to the theft of experimental rabies research data, we need to act quickly."
Buddy sheepishly wandered into Ryuichi's room as the others were busy downstairs or handling duties. "U-uhm... Ryu... I'm getting nervous about everything. Rosco and Torien have the formula being made like you requested into large vats..." Buddy reported. Ryuichi sat in his room, reviewing the plans for Project Rabies carefully. When Buddy entered, he paused and looked up, his expression thoughtful. "That's good to know," he said, his voice neutral. "Everything is going according to plan. Keep me updated on the progress of the formula." Buddy fidgeted nervously, shifting from one foot to the other as he stood there. "I-I will," he managed to stutter out, still feeling unease. "But, Ryuichi, are you sure this is the right thing to do...?" "Wh-what does it do...anyway-" Buddy spoke. Ryuichi paused for a moment, considering how much to reveal to Buddy. "It's a formula designed to create a powerful and deadly form of rabies," he said, his voice low. "One that would be difficult to cure or stop once released." "It will allow us to infect large numbers of humans with this powerful strain of rabies," Ryuichi continued, a cold gleam in his eye. "It will cause chaos and destruction, giving us the opportunity to take control and implement Project Rabies on a larger scale." Buddy's eyes widened in shock and fear as Ryuichi explained the formula's purpose. "I-I see," he managed to say, his voice shaking slightly. "B-but... won't it affect half humans also...?" "Yes, it will," Ryuichi confirmed, his tone matter-of-fact. "Infecting half humans will be an unfortunate side effect, but it's a necessary sacrifice for the success of Project Rabies. To think of it... Sort of works in our favor to speed up things." Buddy nodded his head hesitantly. "I understand," he said, but still feeling uneasy about the idea. He trusted Ryuichi and his plans, but the potential collateral damage was still hard to stomach. "In three months, You will be finally free." Ryuichi spoke boldly. Buddy looked up at Ryuichi's words, a mix of excitement and anxiety on his face. "Free...?" he repeated quietly, his voice laced with hope. Ryuichi nodded, a rare expression of satisfaction on his face. "Yes, free," he said, a determined look in his eyes. "Once Project Rabies is successfully completed, we will no longer be bound by the limitations and confines of the streets. We will rise above all the rest." "First thing we will do is get you a proper home. Just imagine it Buddy... Painting outside without being called a halfie or mutt. You can finally live the life you wanted... The life stolen from you-" Ryuichi spoke stepping to Buddy his words full of sweetness masterfully being strung together to keep Buddy's faith in him. "And you-" Ryuichi said, his gaze falling on Buddy. "You will be a valued member of this new society. Your skills and loyalty are not unnoticed. You have been a valuable asset to this group." Buddy felt a mix of emotions at Ryuichi's words. Flattered by the recognition, but also still nervous and questioning the morality of everything they were doing. However, he was also loyal to Ryuichi and saw him as a leader. So he pushed down his unease and nodded in thanks. "Thank you, Ryuichi. I'll continue to do my best for you and the group." "Just remember... Your beautiful tomorrow will come soon." His words hung to the air. "Beautiful tomorrow..." Buddy repeated softly, repeating Ryuichi's words in a whisper. He was still nervous and unsure about everything they were planning, but the idea of a brighter future was too enticing to dismiss. Ryuichi smiled faintly, pleased with Buddy's response. "You are dismissed," he said, gesturing for him to leave the room. "Go and rest. We have much work to do in the coming months." Buddy nodded, offering one final nod before leaving the room, his mind still swirling with thoughts. He couldn't shake off the nagging unease, but the loyalty to Ryuichi and trust in his vision held him in check. Ryuichi looked forward over the paperwork scattered to the desk. "Soon... project rabies will be active. Torien... I know your there eavesdropping." He coldly called out. Torien sheepishly stepped into the room, an apologetic expression on his face. "You caught me," he admitted, a nervous laugh escaping his lips. "Was I that obvious?" "Could hear that tail swaying... Gave you away. Is the vaccination for the formula made yet? We will need to keep our members safe." Ryuichi questioned. "Yes, the vaccination for our crew is nearly finished," Torien confirmed, nodding his head, the bells on his headband jingling. "Rosco is just making the final adjustments. It should be ready soon." "Do not bother fixing the vaccine for Buddy." Ryuichi ordered. Torien paused, a look of surprise on his face. "You don't want the vaccine for Buddy?" he asked, confused. "Why not?" "He is going to be patient zero. I am unsure if we will be able to save him by outbreak." Ryuichi responded keeping his eyes forward refusing to make eye contact. Torien was taken aback by the news, his eyes widening. "Patient zero... You're going to use Buddy as the first infected for the project?" he repeated, disbelief colouring his tone. "I know it sounds harsh," Ryuichi said, still avoiding eye contact. "But it's a necessary sacrifice for the success of Project Rabies. Buddy is...a worthy sacrifice." Torien was silent for a moment, absorbing the news. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Buddy was a valued member of their crew, a friend to many. But at the same time, he knew better than to question Ryuichi's orders. "The disease will hit his system... We will set him loose into the city... He will go savage and feral infecting other half humans while harming normal humans in the process..." Ryuichi explained. Torien listened to Ryuichi's cold, clinical explanation, trying to keep his emotions in check. The thought of Buddy being used as a weapon, turned into a mindless, dangerous entity, was hard to stomach. "What happens after that?" Torien asked, his voice low. "Once Buddy has infected others and spread the disease further... What then?" "We sit back and watch the chaos unfold," Ryuichi said, a dark gleam in his eyes. "The infection will spread, tearing apart the fragile balance between humans and half humans. There will be fighting, death, and destruction. And in the midst of all of that, we will rise. We will seize control and shape the world the way we see fit." Torien couldn't help but feel a shiver run down his spine at Ryuichi's words. The images of a world torn apart by chaos and violence were horrifying, and the idea of using Buddy in such a way was unsettling. But he also knew that challenging Ryuichi was not an option. "Ryuichi this plan would effect more than just the city-" Torien stammered. Ryuichi's expression darkened as he looked at Torien. "I know that," he admitted, his tone firm. "The infection will spread far beyond the confines of the city. It will be a country-wide epidemic, possibly even global." "But that is a sacrifice we are willing to make," Ryuichi continued, his voice steady and confident. "Project Rabies is a means to an end, a way for us to achieve our goals and reshape the world. The lives of a few are nothing weighed against the potential gains." Torien was taken aback by the callousness in Ryuichi's words, but he kept his mouth shut. He knew better than to question the leader's decisions. "I understand," he said, his voice quiet. "I will follow your orders. But... what about Buddy? Is it really necessary to use him like this? He's one of ours, a loyal crew member." "I am aware of that," Ryuichi said, his expression hardening. "But Buddy is expendable for the greater good of Project Rabies. He will serve an important role as patient zero, and his sacrifice will not be in vain." "Just keep him happy for now..." He ordered. Torien nodded silently, unable to bring himself to challenge Ryuichi's decision further. "I will do as you say, Ryuichi. I'll make sure Buddy is...comfortable and happy for now." "Good," Ryuichi said, his tone dismissive. "That will be all. You are dismissed, Torien." Torien bowed his head respectfully, the bells on his headband jingling softly as he turned to leave the room. He couldn't help but feel a deep sense of unease and sadness as he walked away, carrying the knowledge of Buddy's fate with him. As Torien left the room, Ryuichi was left alone with his thoughts. He knew that what he had planned was cold and ruthless, but he saw it as a necessary sacrifice. The success of Project Rabies was more important than the life of one individual, no matter how loyal or skilled that individual was. Back at the police station, Officer Alex was in a meeting with several of his fellow officers, discussing the information Aiden and Clarissa had discovered. "Alright, so here's what we know," Alex began, addressing the group. "We had a break-in at a medical research facility, the theft of experimental rabies data, and a symbol left, which Aiden and Clarissa confirmed as a calling card of Ryuichi's crew." "We need to act fast," another officer spoke up, his expression concerned. "If this is connected to Ryuichi and Project Rabies, we could be looking at a threat on a much larger scale." "Agreed," Alex nodded. "We can't afford to sit on this information. We need to start investigating the connection between this break-in, Ryuichi's crew and Project Rabies. And figure out what their plan is." Aiden's ears flattened as he sat beside Clarissa listening to all of this. Clarissa could sense Aiden's unease and placed a hand on his shoulder, offering a reassuring squeeze. Alex turned to Aiden, noticing the flattened ears. "Aiden, Clarissa," he said, gesturing for them to join the conversation. "Since you're the ones who found this information, I want your input. What do you think is going on?" Aiden took a moment to consider the question before responding. "It seems like Ryuichi's crew has stolen experimental rabies data for a reason," he said, a frown on his face. "And the symbol they left behind is a clear indicator that they're involved. But what their plan is..." He trailed off, shaking his head. "That's hard to say." "We need to find out more about Project Rabies and what they're planning to do with the data," Clarissa added. "It's likely that Ryuichi's crew has a bigger plan in mind, and we need to try to find out what it is before it's too late." Alex sighed, running a hand through his hair. "You're both right. But the question is, how are we going to find out more information about Project Rabies? Ryuichi and his crew have been careful to keep their plans secret, and we don't have much to go on." "I have an idea," Aiden offered, his ears perked back up. "We could try to get someone to infiltrate their crew. That way we could get information directly from inside the group." Alex raised an eyebrow at Aiden's suggestion. "That's risky," he said, concern evident in his tone. "We'd be putting someone in harm's way, and there's no guarantee they'd be able to get information without getting caught." "I understand the risks," Aiden responded, his tone resolute. "But it's worth a shot. We need to try something to get ahead of them. We've been one step behind them for too long." "I agree with him," Clarissa chimed in, leaning forward in her seat. "We can't just sit around and hope for more information to fall into our laps. Action is what we need right now." Alex considered their words for a moment, drumming his fingers on his desk. "Alright," he finally said with a sigh. "Any ideas on who to send in?" Aiden scratched his chin thoughtfully. "We need someone who's clever, and good at blending in," he said, a light going off in his head. "And I think I have just the person in mind..." "Felix Skies?" Alex mused, a glimmer of curiosity in his eyes. "I've heard of him, but he's not exactly known for his covert work or subtlety, is he?" Felix loved the spotlight and attention that came with his profession as a fashion model. He thrived in the world of high-end fashion shows and exclusive parties, often surrounded by beautiful people and lavish parties, loving every moment of attention on himself. He was fiercely protective and defensive about his appearance, always wanting to appear flawless, never wanting his feathered wings to be out of place. "I have a feeling if i let him know that Ryuichi is going to hurt his business marketing he will assist- and who better for Ryuichi to trust than another half human" Aiden explained. "You're right," Alex nodded, considering Aiden's point. "Half-humans tend to stick together and he could easily gain Ryuichi's trust, given the circumstances. You think he would be willing to help?" "I'm certain," Aiden responded, a confident glint in his eye. "I personally know Felix. I'll talk to him and see if he would be willing to help us with this, Humans are where he makes alot of money from due to the whole angelic appearance gig. He's a bit self-centred, but I think he will see the benefits of taking down Ryuichi's crew." Alex chuckled at Aiden's description of Felix, knowing that he would indeed be a valuable asset in this mission. "Alright then," he said, giving a small nod of approval. "Go and talk to him, see if he's willing to help us with this." Aiden nodded in agreement, standing up. "I'll head over to his place right away and talk to him," he said. "I'll let you know what I find out. Felix has a way with people, he should be able to get close to Ryuichi's crew with ease." "Okay, but be careful," Alex reminded him, a hint of concern in his voice. "These guys are dangerous and cunning. Don't take any unnecessary risks, alright?" "I'll be careful," Aiden assured Alex. "I promise nothing will go wrong." He paused for a moment. "And thanks for trusting me with this. I appreciate it." Alex smiled warmly at Aiden. "I wouldn't have trusted anyone else for this, Aiden," he replied. "You have a good head on your shoulders. Now go talk to Felix and hopefully we'll have an inside man soon." Aiden nodded, thankful for the trust and confidence Alex had placed in him. "I won't disappoint," he said, a determined look in his eyes. "I better head out now, I'll be back soon with an update." With that, Aiden stepped out of Alex's office, his mind focused on his task at hand, eager to reach Felix and recruit him for this mission. Meanwhile, Felix was in his lavish apartment, getting ready for his nightly party. He was meticulously dressing himself up for the occasion, his eyes scrutinizing every detail in the mirror, making sure he was flawless. He ran his hand through his brown hair, making sure it looked just right. His golden feathered wings were flawlessly arranged, radiating the perfect amount of elegance. Felix knew the importance of his appearance, as that's what drove his entire profession and lifestyle. As he slipped on his sleek suit, Felix took one last glance in the mirror, satisfied with his appearance. He was ready for the night ahead, the party where he would be the center of attention and admiration. He took a deep breath, letting himself indulge in a moment of pride and self-satisfaction. Felix loved his life, the glitz and glamour of being a successful fashion model. It brought him the attention and validation he craved. With a final look, Felix was ready to leave for the party, excited for the night ahead where he knew he would be admired and sought after by the wealthy and influential people who would be in attendance. As he stepped out of his apartment, Felix embraced the familiar excitement that came with party nights. He knew everyone would be eager to see him and he thrived on the attention that he was sure to receive. As Felix arrived at the venue for the party, the scene was already bustling with energy. He could already see familiar faces and paparazzi lining up to catch a glimpse of him, eager to snap photos of him for their magazines and blogs. He smiled and posed for a couple of photos, his angelic features exuding a certain charm. He knew how to play the media game, ensuring he looked perfect for every shot, the light reflecting off his golden wings just right. The paparazzi shouted his name, cameras flashing as they tried to capture his attention, but Felix was a pro. He smiled and waved, gracefully maneuvering his way through the crowd towards the entrance, people staring and muttering about his beauty and elegance. Felix's eyes darted around the venue, taking in the lavish decorations and the well-dressed attendees. The air was filled with the soft hum of conversation and the faint sound of classical music playing. Felix knew how to navigate and mingle in these high society circles, and he loved the attention he was receiving. "Excuse me- Mister Skies-" Aiden stammered up his ears flicking as i wormed through guests. Felix raised an eyebrow slightly at the call, stopping his conversation with a group of people. He turned to see Aiden nervously making his way towards him. He was a bit taken aback by how nervous Aiden was, but couldn't help but feel slightly amused by it. "Yes?" Felix inquired, a hint of a smirk playing on his lips. "Sorry for interrupting your conversation, but... Could we talk in privacy for a bit? It's important," Aiden quickly said, looking around nervously. Felix raised an eyebrow, his curiosity peaked. "Sure, let's find someplace quiet," he said, leading Aiden away from the busy chatter of the party. He guided him outside, away from the noise and commotion to a secluded spot where they wouldn't be overheard. He turned to Aiden, his expression intrigued. "Alright, what's this all about?" Aiden leaned against the wall, trying to find the right words. It was always difficult to deal with someone as arrogant as Felix, but he needed his help. "It's about Ryuichi and his crew," Aiden said quietly. Felix's playful demeanor shifted slightly, a more serious expression crossing his face. "Ryuichi... What about him?" he asked, his interest piqued by the mention of the notorious crew leader. "We've uncovered some information about their plans," Aiden began, his gaze steady. "They're planning something big, and they're using some form of experimental rabies to do it. We believe they're planning to create and spread an outbreak with this new strain of rabies, effectively sending the city into chaos and chaos, with them seizing control afterwards. We need someone that is a half human he would likely trust to help us stop this plan and get on the inside-" Felix listened intently, his mind working. His initial reaction was one of disbelief, but Aiden's words held weight. The plans sounded like something Ryuichi would do. He rubbed his chin thoughtfully. If what Aiden was saying was true, it could have disastrous consequences indeed. Felix's mind raced, considering the implications. He had always had a love-hate relationship with Ryuichi and his crew. He knew they were dangerous, but the prospect of being an informant and taking down a threat of this magnitude intrigued him. "Alright... How can I help?" he asked, his voice steady. "We'd like you to infiltrate Ryuichi's crew and gather information from the inside," Aiden explained, his expression serious. "Your position as a famous fashion model should make it easy to get close to Ryuichi and gain his trust. We need someone on the inside to provide us with information and access to their plans and operations." "So you want me to be a double agent?" Felix mused, a smirk playing on his lips. The idea of working undercover was definitely more exciting than just playing the role of a fancy model. "Exactly." Aiden nodded, his ears twitching in anticipation. "We believe Ryuichi would trust you, given your fame and status in the half human community. Plus, you're one of the most attractive and recognizable half humans out there. Your charm and good looks would serve you well in gaining their trust and information." "I do believe I am quite pleasing to look at." Felix smirked, running a hand through his styled brown hair. "Alright, I'm in. But what's in this for me?" "Besides taking down a dangerous crime boss and potentially saving the city, you mean?" Aiden asked, a flicker of amusement in his eyes. "We're willing to provide financial compensation and make sure your reputation isn't harmed in the process." "I want to rename the city- just this small section..." Felix mused. "Rename the- what?" Aiden looked at Felix incredulously, his ears flicking in surprise. He hadn't quite expected that request. "That's quite a request. You want to rename an area of the city? Why?" "In respect of its beginnings... Picture it- River Line City... Fits with the fishing docks and beach no?" Felix pouted. Aiden paused for a moment, considering the proposal. "River Line City?" he repeated, the sound of the name rolling off his tongue. "It does have a nice ring to it. A good way to remember its origins in fishing. Plus, it's more unique than the current name." He hesitated for a moment. "Sure, I suppose we can talk to the city council about that. But can we focus on the main job first?" Felix nodded, his smile returning. "Of course. So it's settled, I'll begin to get close to Ryuichi and his crew," he said, a hint of excitement in his voice. "I'll use my charm and all, I'm sure I can get in close to them in no time." "Just be careful, Felix," Aiden warned. "They're dangerous and unpredictable. Do not let your guard down. We're counting on you to get the information we need, and we don't know what they might do if they suspect you're a mole." "I can handle myself, don't worry." Felix assured him, a confident smirk on his face. "I'll have Ryuichi wrapped around my finger before he realizes what's happening. He won't suspect a thing."
