Nash (1 week later)
"I don't get it." I ran my hand through my hair. "You don't want me to see Camila?"
Matthew nodded slowly, while I took a seat on the edge of the bed.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because. I like her." He sighed.
"So?" I asked, getting a bit angry.
"If you care about my happiness, then you'll break up with her so I can be with her." He replied. "Please Nash. For me."
"She's not interested in you." I rolled my eyes.
"Things can change." He shrugged.
"I-" I couldn't even find the words.
"It's either me or her." He sighed. "Shows how much of a friend you are."
"I'll break up with her." I sighed, looking at the floor.
"Thanks man." He patted my shoulder than left my room.
"Hey Camz." I heard Mathew say.
"Hi." She replied. I saw her feet in front of me then she knelt down.
"You okay?" She asked.
"Fine." I picked my head up, giving her a small smile.
"You look..." She tried to find the word. "A bit depressed."
"I'm fine." I kissed her forehead then got up from the bed, walking out of the room.
I can't do it, I just can't do it. But I have to. Me and Matthew and mostly all the other guys promised that a girl will never get between us, no matter what. I can't break a promise.
"Nash!" Camila called after me. I turned around and she smiled.
"Where you going?" She asked.
"Just to get fresh air." I lied, once again.
"Okay? I was thinking we could-"
"I can't do this anymore." I closed my eyes. I didn't want to see her big, brown eyes when I said those words.
"Wha- what are you talking about?" She nervously laughed.
"This. Us. I can't do it anymore." I sighed.
"Why not? I thought this was going well, am I wrong?" She asked. "Did I do something wrong?"
"No. Not at all." I grabbed her hands, intertwining our fingers.
"Your being so confusing." She shook her head, closing her eyes.
"I'm sorry Camila. I-" I stopped talking because she pulled her hands away.
"I have to go. I'll talk to you later." She walked away, leaving me alone in the hallway.
What did I do. The past two weeks being with her made me so happy. But yet, I can't break this promise. I had to do this. It was the right thing. I think.
Camila
I was sitting on the floor, with by back against the wall.
I was staring across the hall at the wall until I saw Matthew sit down at the corner of my eye.
"Hey Camz." He smiled.
"Hi." I said, not facing him.
"You look sad. Is everything okay?" He asked.
"I'm fine." I lied, because in reality, I don't know if I am. Why am I so worried about
Nash and I breaking apart. We weren't seeing each other for a long time. Hell, I didn't even know him for that long. But I had real feelings for him, which sucks.
"I was thinking that we could..." Mathew kept talking but I wasn't listening because I saw a person I didn't want to see. He was talking to the front desk, signing some papers.
"I'll be right back." I told him, standing up and walking to the man.
"Eric." I called his name. He turned to my direction and his face lit up. Oh his face brought back bad memories.
"Camila." He walked towards me but I backed away.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Looking for you." He sighed.
"You've been looking for me?" I asked.
"Yes. I've missed you Camz. A lot." He looked me in the eye when he said those words.
"Go home." I pointed to the door. "There's nothing here for you."
"Camz." He sighed, grabbing for my hands, yet I pulled them back.
"Go, before I call security." I threatened.
"Why are you doing this?" He asked.
"Don't act like you don't remember the things you put me thru." I put my finger on his chest. "All this time, even after that phone call, I thought I should be scared of you. But I'm not."
"You were so happy with me." He smirked.
"Not when you hurt me. I wanted to break up with you but I was so scared that I couldn't. Yes, Eric. You made me happy in a period of my life, but that's long gone." I scoffed.
"Oh yeah?" He smirked. I nodded.
"That sucks. I thought we could start over." His lips curled.
"Well, now you know we will never start over. The only thing you can do for me right now is apologize, then leave." I never thought that I could speak to him this way because since he started hurting me, I was terrified of him.
"I'm sorry Camila..." He started. "But I'm not going anywhere." He kissed my forehead then walked out of the hotel building.
I stood there, frozen. Lost for words. I honestly wanted to cry.
I'm not going anywhere.
I closed my eyes and I let the tears run down my cheeks. I opened them, then let out a sigh.
Soon, the door was blocked by Nash's body.
"Mila, you okay?" He asked, wiping my cheeks away with his thumb.
I nodded, letting more tears run down. Soon I shook my head, laying my head on his chest.
"Everything will be okay." He sighed. "Whatever happened. It will be okay."
