Chapter 15

Matt's POV

I followed my captors as we walked towards the fire village. "Remind me again why we went for Mari, but left with someone else" a guy with reddish brown(correct me if I'm wrong) hair said. "Because Shane. Matt here would apparently do anything for Mari, and I'm guessing she would do anything to get him back". He nodded his head and kept walking. The cut along my side was painful. "You had to cut me". He turned around and stopped walking. "Well if I didn't, we would still be fighting. Or we would have found your girlfriend. So which was it going to be. You injured, or Mari being taken away". I put my head down and started walking again. Mari's face came into my head. Her red hair, her chocolate eyes(again, correct me if I'm wrong), her overall toughness. I'll admit, I almost started crying. I knew I would never see her again. My dad was captured by the fire group back when I was 15 and he never came back. It's the main reason I left. Now I'm in the same boat.

Mari's POV

I soon grew tired from running. I've been running for 10 miles, and my legs felt like they're going to give out. Apart from that, it was almost nighttime. I had left during the mid-afternoon and it was almost 9. I found some trees and set up my tent. The next morning, I got ready, packed up my stuff and took off again. A few minutes later, I found footprints that looked like they were made the night before. The somehow were able to travel through the night. Which means they already reached the fire village.

Lasercorn's POV

We dragged Sohinki through the village over to our prison/holding house. Jenna grabbed a chair and Mark grabbed some rope. "Now. Let's see how long it takes for your love to come for you". We put Mark on watch duty. "Do you really think she'll come" Flitz asked. "Knowing Mari, yes I know she will. A few seconds later, Brina came running over. "Hey princess". "Hey warrior". "Did you get the girl". "No. But we did get someone else. Someone she can't live without". "You're so bad". "Alright you two. Break it up" Jenna yelled. Brina waved goodbye and ran off. Half an hour later, I saw a flash of red running by.
