It was September 3rd, and Ford was on the train, heading to his new boarding school. Ford sighed heavily, he could feel the stares of people on the train on him, and it was starting to tick him off. One blonde boy was staring at him, frowning. Ford rolled his eyes, " Hey blondie." He says, and the blonde boy jumps, a bit startled, " Yes?" He asks softly, and Ford sighs, " Quit the staring." Ford scoffs, shooting a small glare at him, " Ah..sorry about that, I must've zoned out." He said, smiling sheepishly. Okay, now Ford felt a little bad, " Oh." He said, looking away. The blonde boy shrugged, looking down at his feet. He was wearing baby blue high tops, which had been scribbled on, " What's your name?" The blondie asks suddenly, grinning at Ford, who sighs, " Ford...and yours?" He says after some time, " Marcus. It's nice to meet you." Marcus says, smiling and offering a hand to the taller boy, who glances down at his hand. Ford hesitated slightly, before reluctantly shaking his hand, which was warm. Ford's hand, on the other hand, was cold. Marcus frowned, " Why are your hands so...cold?" He asks, and Ford shrugs, not bothering to say anything to the boy. Ford looks down the carriage, spotting a blonde girl with a brown-haired girl. They stood out from the rest since they were dressed much more posh. Marcus coughed awkwardly, " That's Leah and Rora." He says, and Ford glances at him, nodding slowly before looking back at them again, " Wait. You going to West Bridge?" He asks, and Marcus nods, " Most of us are." He shrugs, " At least me, you, Rora and Leah are." He adds, and Ford nods again.

Around an hour later, Ford had fallen asleep, and Marcus left the brown-haired boy alone, deciding to wake him up once the train had arrived at the station. It wasn't unusual for Ford to fall asleep at the most random times since the last few years he'd been out late doing...illegal things. Marcus sighed, checking his brown leather watch, the time read 5:30. They would arrive in around ten minutes, so he decided to wake up the boy next to him. He slowly shook him, hoping to wake him up. A few minutes later, Ford finally opened his eyes, groaning, " Where am I?" He asks sleepily, and Marcus chuckles, " On the train. We're almost here." He says, and Ford groans again, " Great." He says sarcastically and Marcus laughs softly again, " C'mon, West Bridge isn't that bad." He said, and Ford shrugged, " I wouldn't know, I suppose." He said, " It's my first year." He sighs. Marcus nods, smiling, " Hopefully we'll have the same timetable and dorm." He said, and Ford shrugs, " That would be...nice?" He said, shrugging again. He didn't know Marcus well enough to be super excited, but they could become better friends if they had the same classes and dorm, he supposed.

As the train slowly stopped, Ford and Marcus got up, Ford getting their bags down, since Marcus was quite short. He handed Marcus his bag, who smiled, thanking him. He waited for Marcus to get off the train, so he could follow him. Surely enough, Marcus followed the stream of people off the train and up the stairs, to a small room that said 'West Bridge School Meet Up' Marcus held the door open for Ford, who smiled a little, muttering, " Thanks." to Marcus. They sat down on the provided seats, waiting for everyone else to arrive. The girls Ford had seen earlier entered, sitting down next to him. They were talking about...makeup? Ford didn't pay attention, as a strict-looking lady walked onto the stage at the front of the room. '' Why is this in a train station?'' Ford thought, frowning. Once almost everyone had settled down, the lady finally spoke, " Good evening old and new students of West Bridge Boarding School, and welcome to the new school year." She said, putting on an obvious fake smile, her icy blue eyes drifting over the crowd of teens, " We have many new students, so I hope you can welcome them warmly." She says, before clearing her throat, " I would like my sixteen to seventeen-year-olds to stand up, and come to the front." She says, and Ford stands up along with Marcus and some other people. He follows the blonde to the front, where the lady was standing, before she continued speaking, " For those who do not know me, I am the head of the school, Mrs Yari." She says, and I nod to myself, making a mental note to remember her name, no matter if I cared or not. " I will be announcing the dorms now, and once we arrive timetables will be sent to your dormitory." She says, and I spot Marcus cross his fingers behind his back," Dorm one." She begins, taking out a list, " Leah Dawns, Rora Chanel, Zak Woods, Prya Castlestone, Giselle Rorewing, Marcus Jacksons, Amelie Christy, Kyce Jones, Lilianna Dove, Dorry Castgaze and...Ford Bridgeton." She says, and Marcus's eyes light up, shooting me a happy smile. I grin back at him, silent cheering in my mind. At first, I was unsure about him, but now, I was looking forward to making friends. I couldn't wait to get to the school.
