"Why...?!" Kiryu groaned at his phone waking him up.
"Hmm?" Saiki looked at him on blinking awake.
"Kasuga!" he growled at the name displayed and sighed hard. Then he answered the phone. "I was sleeping. What is it?"
"Oh! Ah...just wanted to know what you had planned..." Kasuga said with sudden hesitation. "I mean...it's almost noon..."
"Really? Oh. Didn't realize the time. Okay. We had a fairly large dinner, so it would make sense that we slept for so long. I guess...we can meet up on the beach in an hour. Maybe pick up some lunch, too. We wanted to see the beach at least once during our trip. Maybe again before we leave. So let's do that," he said. It was confirmed and the call disconnected.
"Wow. We really did sleep until noon!" Saiki laughed softly. She yawned and stretched against him with complete contentment. "Maybe...we should just...wait until after the fight tomorrow..."
"You think? I mean...we could..." he mused at the idea. "We were a bit interrupted yesterday. Weren't we?"
"Mmm..." she agreed and groaned softly at how his hands moved over her.
"I want to know if we can fix your hair. To have it grow again," he said. "I know. You've adapted to it. But I really want to see if it's possible."
"I never really gave it much thought. I mean...if it does grow..." she said softly. "I could always wear wigs..."
"No. If they can't do anything, then fine. But I know we have made advancements in medicine. We should look into it. Maybe not do anything yet, but we should explore our options," he said. "And I'm saying this only because you need to take a test. If you are pregnant, I don't want any unknown medicine in your system. So, that test should be taken now."
"You're right. I should take it..." she mused. He let her go to watch her move and collect the pregnancy test. Then she moved into the bathroom. While looking for a cup to hold some of her urine, she did find a digital pregnancy test in one of the drawers. She was a bit surprised, but she decided to use it with the other one for results from another test. A few minutes later had her walking back over to him while the tests set and ran the results.
"I just want the proof to shove it into the faces of others," he said and cradled her close. She sighed and snuggled into him.
"I like this..." she murmured. He smiled softly and closed his eyes with his own form of contentment. At the feel of her shivering, he made a questioning sound for her to talk. "Just...old things we talked about before."
"Like...?" he asked.
"Why...I couldn't find you...or..." she started. All he did was squeeze her close and sigh.
"Don't think of that now," he muttered and gently caressed her. She nodded and closed her eyes to enjoy the feel of him around her. "We're together now. Against all the odds thrown at us. Nothing will ever tear us apart again."
"Yeah..." she whispered. He pressed a kiss to her forehead and continued to hold her close. She heard him laugh softly. "What?"
"I want to stay in. But I also want to see Kasuga's face when we wear our new clothes. You know?" he chuckled.
"True," she laughed softly with him now. He looked towards the bathroom, and she forced herself to move to check the test. She came back over to him with it and she was frowning. "It shows negative."
"What?" he blinked at her. He took the plastic stick from her and studied where the lines would show up. "No. Look. An extremely faint line for the second one..."
