Hanbin stopped the car in front of a restaurant.

"Let's eat first, my treat"

Zhang Hao just nodded as a reply.

As much as he didn't have an appetite, his stomach rumbled because all he had was a cup of coffee in the morning.

..

Zhang Hao and Hanbin sat by the window. The atmosphere was warm, filled with chattering and clinking of dishes.

"Thanks Bin" Zhang Hao said, stirring his milkshake.

Hanbin smiled and ruffled his hair. "Let's go to arcade after we're done eating, alright?"

"Okayy"

Bright light flashed and laughter filled the air.

"Let's do that one!" Zhang Hao exclaimed, pointing at the racing game.

"Alright but prepare to lose" Hanbin replied, grinning.

The settled into the gaming sits. As the game started, Zhang Hao giggled in enthusiasm. Hanbin stole a glance from him, his expression softening.

"Are you getting distracted Binnie?" Zhang Hao glimpsed at him.

"Huh? No, I'm just concentrating" Hanbin subtly leaned closer. "Watch out! I'm coming towards you!"

"Not if I can help it!" Zhang Hao laughed.

The game ended with Zhang Hao winning.

"Haha I totally crushed you" he jumped excitedly.

"Yeah yeah I'll let you have this one" Hanbin smirked.

They moved to another game later on. He watched Zhang Hao, admiration clear in his eyes.

"Why are you looking at me like that..?" Zhang Hao uttered, noticing his gaze.

Hanbin cleared his throat. "Just..you look happy. That's all I want to see"

Zhang Hao's smile faltered for a moment as he catched the warmth in his eyes.

He smiled again and replied "It's all because of you Bin. I don't know what I would do without you"

"I'm glad i could make you feel better" Hanbin said.

"Let's have ice cream, I'm really craving some" Zhang Hao shared.

"Sure!" Hanbin replied.

"My treat this time"

Hanbin beamed, inclining.

..

"Which flavour do you want Bin?"

"Chocolate banana split, what about you hyung?"

"Hmm lemme think..I'll just have the same one as you. There are way too many flavours, I can't choose"

They headed out of the place after he paid for their ice cream.

"Do you wanna go somewhere else? Or should I drop you home?" Hanbin asked.

"It's almost eight, I better go home now"
Zhang Hao replied."I really enjoyed today" he added.

"Me too"

After they were done eating, Hanbin drove Zhang Hao to his house.

"We're here" he uttered.

Zhang Hao gazed at Hanbin. His hair wavy, falling right above his eyebrows and slightly parted in the middle. A small dimple appeared on his cheek as he smiled. Zhang Hao felt a sudden urge to lean closer. He couldn't help but notice how captivating he truly was. Without thinking, he pressed a kiss on his cheek.

Hanbin's eyes widened at he did. The blush that spread across his face was unmistakable, a deep shade of crimson that made Zhang Hao's heart race.

"Uh.." Hanbin stammered, his words caught in his throat.

The silence streched between them, heavy and electric. As the realisation hit Zhang  Hao, he pulled back abruptly.

"Sorry I didnt mean-" he started, but the words tumbled out in a rush, his heart pounding his chest.

"It's okay hyung"

It's not okay..

"Then..then I'll see you tomorrow" Zhang Hao got out of the car and ran towards the door.

Hanbin stayed there until Zhang Hao went inside. He then drove back to his own house.

This is the second time he almost got a heart attack because of Zhang Hao. His impulsive thoughts caused poor Hanbin to suffer.

..

Zhang Hao immediately rushed upstairs and went to his room. He collapsed on his bed, burying his face on the pillow.

"I was drunk that night but I am completely sober this time..THEN WHY??" He mumbled.

Zhang Hao sat up straight. "Do I like Hanbin? In that way? But he's my bestfriend" he frowned.

Zhang Hao shook his thoughts away and went to shower. After he was done, he switched the lights off and went back to his bed to sleep.

He stared at the ceiling, replaying the moment in the car. The memory of Hanbin's surprised look and the visible blush in his face made his pulse quicken.

"What am I doing?" Zhang Hao whispered to himself, his heart in a jumble of confusion.

When did I even start to feel that way..

Zhang Hao picked up his phone, scrolling their shared photos. He lips curled up as he looked them, each smile deepening his uncertainty.

He stopped at one photo which was taken by Ricky which he didn’t really think much of. However now, he didn't know if he was being delusional but the way Hanbin was looking at him was the way someone would look at the person they like.

What if he likes me too?

The question hung in the air, heavy and unresolved, as he wrestled with his thoughts, wondering if he was ready to search deeper into what lay beneath their friendship.
