Plot.
The exorcist attack before Charlie and lucifer fix their relationship and lucifer has his moment

ANGST WARNING

"At least he believes in me...why can't my own dad do that!" Charlie said sadly as she turned around from him. Lucifer was about to open his mouth before there was screams outside.
"EXCORCIST!"
Charlie's eyes opened wide as she ran to the window and looked up seeing the portal opening above the hotel and heading straight for them.
"I...we..don't have time to...prepare anything!" Vaggie said as she tried to think of attack or defense plans
"We...we have to try..." She said as she looked over at her dad now who had pulled his coat and his hat off.
"Im not a perfect dad Charlie...and I may never be..I've made my share of mistakes and I don't know if I can become the father you deserve..but what I do have is my strength..and right now that's all you need" he said as he opened the door and walked outside while rolling up his sleeves and his wings spreading from his back. Before Charlie could understand what he meant lucifer took off towards the sky heading towards the exorcist angels and engaging the battle. It became clear what he ment...he was willing to sacrifice himself for her. Lucifer was flying around them and dodging the attacks while using his fire blast to take them out himself

(I'm not that good with fight scenes so kinda just skipping through it)

Things were going good for lucifer but they outnumbered him and soon it got to be to many of them for him to dodge as they started to swarm around him. He grunted out in pain as a few weapons sliced acrossed his arms and wings before the exorcist started to fall around him. He was a little confused as he looked around to see tentacles flying through the air and stabbing them and looking down seen Alastor on the ground holding his cane. Lucifer looked at him before giving him a small nod of appreciation. Moving down to the ground to help Vaggie out he felt a hand grab his arm and looked at Charlie who had a tear in her eye.
"I..im..s..sorry dad..I, need to fix all this and..for not giving you a chance"
Lucifer smiled softly at her.
"I can fix it" he said before pulling her into a hug.
"Your the best daughter i could ever ask for" he said before there was a couple blast near them and lucifer moved and pushed them both out of the way. The battle continued as he moved towards adam trying to take out the leader. After a few dodges and and teasing Adam, he let out a yell as he shot his holy beam down and destroyed the hotel and cut through the hill it resided on. Lucifers eyes were quickly scanning around to check on Charlie and her friends, And his heart nearly stopped as he seen Charlie screaming as she fell down the bottomless pit. Adam flew towards lucifer as he flew down to catch Charlie, he swooped down and grabbed her in his arms as the ground was falling around them and yet it was silent except for the set of words that he heard.
"Dad...I'm scared..." she said as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
Lucifer looked at Charlie with a warm smile
"Never. be afraid" he said softly as he rested a hand on her cheek..but he failed to see Adam behind him. Lucifers brain faltered as he felt the large weapon stab him through his back and Charlie gasped at seeing it come through his front side and looked at her dad as he looked back.
"Go make your own adventures" he said gently with a soft look on his face before grabbing her hand and with a loud grunt twisting and throwing her up. Charlie was caught by Alastors tentacles and pulled up to safety.
Down below lucifer fired his blast at Adam and effectively managing to kill him as he continued to fall. He was having a hard time keeping his eyes opened as he fell. Everything seemed to slow down as he reflected on his time with Charlie. The little ball of energy that he adored more then anything.
"Thank you for letting me go first appleseed...because I couldn't live a day without you...." he said softly before he closed his eyes with a smile gracing his lips as he plummeted to the ground.
Up above Alastor held Charlie before they both heard the thud of them hitting the ground and Charlie grabbed Alastor even tighter as he rubbed her back some. Looking down at the pit where lucifer had made the ultimate sacrifice so others may live. He gave a small nod of his head.
"...you surprised me today...you did good my king.."
