Zuberiya wipes the table when Furqan emerges from the bedroom with an album in his hands.
"What is that?" Zuberiya asks curiously.
"A little something I want to show you but promise me that you won't feel offended," Furqan remarks and Zuberiya agrees washing her hands and rushes to join him.
"Why would I feel offended?" She asks her brows furrowing. "Does this have photos of your girl-friends from the past?"
She tries to joke but Furqan doesn't enjoy it as he glares at her.
"I never had girl-friends....trust me on this. I never had any girl ever!"
"Then? Why would I feel offended?" Zuberiya tries to make their conversation lighter but there was some sensation in her gut that bothers her.
Furqan doesn't answer as he hands her the album and stands behind her and Zuberiya hesitates for a second before opening it. She expects to see photos but instead, there was a chocolate wrapper, a paper cup, a small heart-shaped pendant studded with crystals and she halts recognizing it.
"When did you...?" She let her voice trail remembering the chocolate wrapper that she had tossed after consuming the chocolate. The paper cup had her nail polish stain that she had applied to check the colour before purchasing and the pendant was something she had lost and searched for it for days as it was from her favourite collection.
"This is the chocolate wrapper that Ameen gifted you on your birthday...and this paper cup...do you remember when and where you used it?" Furqan asked excitedly as Zuberiya scans his face beaming with happiness wondering how to react? This isn't normal because she still couldn't accept that Furqan loved his best friend's girlfriend.
