➤ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐀𝐈𝐑 𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐎𝐊𝐎𝐕𝐈𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐃, 𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 tension between Wanda and Pietro kept them warm. After their fraught meeting with Stan, the heavy weight of their circumstances loomed large, leaving them both restless despite the comfortable bed they had tried to settle into.

The next morning came quickly, it was gloomy outside with only clouds filling the sky. Stan and Doctor Hart gave them new clothes for the twins to change into.

After being changed they were once again reminded of their mission.

Clad in their new outfits, they moved like shadows through the deserted streets. Wanda adjusted the collar of her red dress, the black leather jacket resting heavily on her shoulders.

Her brunette hair was placed in a high ponytail with the help of Doctor Hart.

Pietro, ever restless, zipped his long-sleeve shirt up, ready to move at a moment's notice. The thrill of their covert mission combined with Wanda's secret plan had set a fire in both of them.

With Stan's help they were able to pinpoint locations based on Tony Stark's research and record.

They reached the edge of a crumbling military base, where Tony Stark had reportedly hidden himself—or so Edgar believed. But the deeper they went, the less it seemed like Stark's domain.

Wanda crouched behind a rusted vehicle, her senses tingling as she surveyed the surroundings.

The base was dimly lit, eerily quiet, but it had the unmistakable feeling of being lived in.

"Pietro," she whispered, her eyes narrowing as she spotted movement in the shadows, "we're not alone. There are others here—people Stark might have worked with before."

Pietro blurred to her side in an instant, his voice low but eager. "Do we take them out? Or observe?"

Wanda shook her head, her fingers lightly tracing the edge of a broken wall. "Not yet. Let's see what they know. They could be useful."

As they ventured deeper into the base, they passed through a series of old bunkers and hangars, now repurposed into makeshift labs and war rooms.

People were working—scientists, engineers, and former allies of Stark, no doubt.

They looked tense, exchanging hushed whispers as they moved equipment and scanned data on holographic displays.

Suddenly, the door to a larger chamber hissed open, revealing a group of individuals surrounding a glowing table.

One man, tall and stern, seemed to be leading them.

"Do you recognize any of them?" Pietro murmured, his eyes scanning the room.
