Part 19: A Dangerous Revelation

YN's heart raced as she stared at the video link on her phone. She hesitated for a moment, fear gripping her as she considered what it might contain. Alexia noticed her expression, concern etched on her face. “What is it?”

“I don’t know. Someone sent me this video anonymously,” YN replied, her voice trembling. “I think it might be related to the rumors.”

“Let’s watch it together,” Alexia urged, taking YN’s hand in hers. They found a private corner in the gala venue, away from prying eyes and ears, and YN pressed play.

The video opened with shaky footage, the lighting dim. A voice—deep and distorted—began to speak. “To the people of the Netherlands: the woman who seeks to join your royal family has a hidden past. I present to you evidence that reveals her true character.”

As the video continued, snippets from YN's old business dealings flashed across the screen—documents showing financial discrepancies, emails with Lila, and even photographs of them together during a time when their partnership was crumbling. YN felt her stomach drop. This wasn’t just old news; it was an outright assault on her character.

“Is this real?” Alexia gasped, gripping YN’s arm tightly.

“I-I don’t know,” YN stammered, her mind racing. “Lila wouldn’t do this… would she?”

Before she could process her thoughts, the voice continued, revealing intimate details about YN's life, her struggles, and even her vulnerabilities—information that was clearly obtained through betrayal. The video ended with a threat: “If YN Lee Anderson marries Princess Alexia, the truth will come out, and the royal family will be tarnished.”

Alexia’s expression hardened. “We need to find out who did this. This is a direct attack, and we can’t let it succeed.”

YN nodded, determination fueling her resolve. “We need to speak to Lila. If she is involved in any way, we have to confront her.”

The next day, YN and Alexia met with Lila at a café near the palace. YN’s heart was heavy with the weight of betrayal, and she couldn’t shake the feeling of dread. They found a secluded table and settled in, the atmosphere tense.

“YN, I didn’t expect to hear from you,” Lila said, her voice cautious. “Is everything okay?”

“Not even close,” YN replied, her tone sharp. “Did you have anything to do with that video?”

Lila’s eyes widened, genuine surprise etched across her face. “What video?”

Alexia leaned in, her gaze piercing. “Don’t play games, Lila. Someone released a video attacking YN’s character, and it’s filled with personal information that no one else should have known.”

Lila shook her head, panic flashing across her features. “I swear, I didn’t do it. I wouldn’t hurt you like that.”

“Then who would?” YN pressed, her frustration boiling over. “You were the only one from my past who could have access to that information.”

“I’ve been trying to help you!” Lila exclaimed. “I reached out to see if you wanted to work together again, but I wouldn’t sabotage you. There’s something bigger going on, and we need to figure it out.”

Just then, YN’s phone buzzed with an incoming message, causing her to glance down. It was from an unknown number. With a mixture of dread and curiosity, she opened it.

“Meet me at the old docks tonight. I have information about the video. Come alone.”

“What is it?” Alexia asked, noticing YN’s change in expression.
