The corridors of Hogwarts echoed with the soft footsteps of the Tealcrest sisters and the Weasley twins, moving as a tight-knit group. Fred and George flanked the sisters, each boy holding his partner's hand. George's fingers were intertwined with Flare's, a warm smile gracing his face as he stole glances at her. Fred walked beside Ocean, his thumb tracing gentle circles along her hand as they strolled. Ocean's face was relaxed, yet there was an undeniable tension just beneath the surface. She had agreed to call upon her father tonight, and the thought weighed heavily on her mind.
"Come on, Blue," Fred said softly, pulling her close as they walked. "Let's just sit for a bit before you call him." His voice was gentle, reassuring. She could see the concern in his eyes, a steady anchor amidst the swirling uncertainties she felt.
Ocean managed a small smile and nodded, appreciating Fred's calming presence. "Alright," she murmured, but her gaze drifted toward the distant storm brewing outside, the snowflakes casting shadows against the castle walls as if reflecting her own inner turmoil.
"Hey, Lumi, Faye, keep up!" Fred called, grinning over his shoulder at the two sisters who had drifted slightly behind.
But Lumi had come to a sudden stop. Her red eyes glazed over, focusing on something that none of them could see. She gripped the wall to steady herself as the vision took hold: Snape's office, dimly lit, with Ocean standing across from him, the two of them gazing into each other's eyes. The connection between them was undeniable, filled with an intensity that went beyond teacher and student.
The vision faded almost as quickly as it had come, and Lumi blinked, catching her breath. The moment her sight returned to the present, her gaze locked with Snape's, who was watching her from the shadows of his office door. He raised an eyebrow, clearly noting her strange reaction, but his gaze then shifted to Ocean, lingering on her as she chatted with Fred. There was something in his eyes, a look of longing mixed with a restraint that mirrored what Lumi had glimpsed in her vision. It was the same expression she'd seen in Remus's eyes whenever he looked at her—a look of hidden affection, almost unspoken yet all-consuming.
Lumi squeaked softly and hurried to catch up with her sisters, her heart pounding as Flare turned to her, eyebrows raised in curiosity. "Everything okay?" Flare asked, sensing Lumi's unease.
Lumi nodded quickly, giving her sisters a reassuring smile. "I'll... tell you later," she replied, glancing briefly at Faye, who simply nodded in understanding.
As they continued down the corridor, Snape's gaze followed them, his eyes lingering on Ocean as a quiet sigh escaped him. The weight of the Dark Lord's call tugged at him, pulling him away from Hogwarts and into the shadows, back to the presence he could never fully escape.
Moments later, Snape stood within the Dark Lord's lair, the dimly lit space shrouded in an almost tangible darkness. Voldemort's red eyes glowed, piercing through the shadows as he regarded Snape with an unreadable expression.
"Severus," Voldemort's voice was cold, sharp, "tell me... has Ocean Tealcrest found her mate?"
Snape kept his face carefully blank, his voice smooth and devoid of emotion. "No, my lord. She has not."
Voldemort's eyes narrowed thoughtfully, his bony fingers tapping the arm of his throne-like chair. "I see. And what of the other sisters? The Tealcrest bloodline is known to be formidable, as is their connection to the sea."
Snape hesitated, knowing that the Dark Lord's curiosity could turn dangerous at any moment. "The second of the quadruplets—Luminia—shows great promise, my lord. Her abilities are... progressing."
Voldemort's lip curled into something resembling a smile. "Ah, Luminia, is it? She, too, might prove useful. But it is Ocean that interests me most." His gaze became colder, his voice almost reflective. "A powerful siren, unawakened, could be a valuable asset to our cause... provided she can be persuaded."
