Connor noticed that Cayden looked tense. He was about to walk away, but was stopped by Clara grabbing hold of his arm, causing Connor to growl at her. "Human, if you value your life, you will keep from touching me in this way again.

"Oh, hush you big brute. Hear me out before you go around threatening me," Clara said before speaking up again. "I can see that you are still pained by the fact that your own son took the one woman who was going to give you an heir. But now would be a good start for the both of you to make amends with one another. I know you can see that something is bothering Cayden. Why don't you try and take this time to be a father to him. Try and get Cayden to open up and speak to you. Don't let this opportunity to make things right with your son pass you by."

"Stubborn woman," Connor said before finally giving in and making his way over to where Cayden was standing.

Cayden looked at Connor with unease in his eyes, wondering what Connor wanted with him. "Look if you're coming over here to pick a fight with me, that's the last thing that I need right now."

"I'm not here to pick a fight with you. I'm...I'm trying this whole father thing, though I basically missed out on your whole life. And I don't have experience in giving helping advice to help patch things up between lovers. I never really had to do that. And I was fine with the arrangement I had, before you came along and took the female who was to give me an heir," Connor said before noticing the glare that Clara was giving him. "Not trying to start a fight with you on that. I know it's too late for me to be a good father. But at least let me be someone that you can vent to, because you look like you could really use someone to listen to you right now."

Cayden thought about it for a moment, before deciding to make an attempt to talk to Connor. "Angelina wanted to help this girl escape from Moonlight Valley. But I told her that we had to go. And ever since, Angelina has been quite distant with me. I know she's upset that we didn't help the young woman. But even if we made an attempt to help, it could have been really dangerous for us. Especially if the evil looking guy wearing the robes caught us, trying to help his little sacrifice escape, would most likely have gotten Angelina and I caught, he would have killed us."

"You and Angelina ventured into Moonlight Valley, knowing that you both had no clue as to what the hell was waiting beyond the sign," Connor growled. "What the hell is wrong with you two?"

"It was Angelina's idea! She wanted to go and see what the town was like. She figured it would be similar to Lupine Ridge, Cayden said. "Before you go and lecture me, I know I messed up doing what Angelina wanted. But I didn't want to deal with Angelina pouting all the way back to Lupine Ridge."

"It would have been better than you running the risk of getting caught," Connor said.

"We were caught. By the girl who is meant to be sacrificed. But it seemed she was more hellbent on getting Angelina and I out of the town, before we were caught," Cayden explained.

"You better hope for yours and Angelina's sake she didn't tell anyone else about you two being in that town. Because if she does, then you and Angelina might be in danger," Connor said before walking away.

Cayden stood there watching as Connor stormed away.

Clara noticed Connor storming to his truck, leaving the house. She wasted no time walking to where Cayden was, with his head in his hands.

"I'm so sorry Cayden. I thought it would help start to patch things up between the two of you. I didn't think Connor would get mad and go storming off the way that he did," Connor said.

"It wasn't your fault, Clara. You were only trying to form a bond between my father and I. Only, I said something that royally pissed him off," Cayden explained.

"What was it that you said to upset him like that," Clara asked.

"Angelina and I found a town that was hidden away. And Connor basically said what he did was stupid and wreck less, because we were caught by someone who resides in that town. And he's afraid that the girl will say something to someone. Which would put Angelina and I in danger."

"Not just you two. If it's the town that I think it is, that caused Connor to freak out like he did, then you put everyone in Lupine Ridge in danger," Clara said.

Fae was walking along, when she was suddenly grabbed by the arm, forcing her to stop and glare at the being responsible for grabbing her.

Fae let out a growl when she spotted Edge holding her arm. "Let go of my arm, before I kill you."

"Why do you smell of other wolves," Edge asked.

"Seriously? Take a look around you, ya damn fool. We live in a community of wolves. Does that answer your damn question," Fae asked.

"No, it doesn't actually. Because the scent of the wolves has humans mixed in with them. And you know damn well that any human that dares to enter our town, they all leave as a bag of bones. Did you go wandering past our perimeter into the boarding town that we split the other half of the woods with," Edge asked.

"As though I would be allowed to venture that far. The Lord of Darkness would know," Fae said.

Edge looked around to make sure that there was no other ministry of darkness member around, before pulling Fae deep into the woods.

Fae struggled to keep up, confused as to what was going on. "Where are you taking me Edge?"

Edge stopped turning to give Fae a sympathetic look. "Adam..."

"What," Fae asked confused.

"My birth name is Adam. Edge is what I go by in my wolf form. Or when I'm around the ministry. Undertaker or Mark's rules. Don't tell him I called him Mark. He would skin me alive and find use for my pelt as a reminder to all others that it is not a wise idea to cross him," Adam explained.

"Alright then Adam. Why the sudden sympathy? Why the sudden change of heart, wanting to help me out now? I thought you were loyal to Mark," Fae said.

"I am to an extent. But it's mainly out of fear. Mark is a very scary guy...especially when you piss him off. Anyway, not the point. I don't agree with the way Mark has all of the unmated females line up, and allows the entire ministry to have their pick of the girls. But Mark does it, because he gets a thrill from the fear the girls have. I also know that you made an attempt to hide, but when you were found, we were going to drag you and Stephanie all the way back to the town center; but you did a foolish thing lying for Stephanie like that. Do you honestly believe that she would go and do the same thing for you," Adam asked.

"I would like to believe that she would do the same for me," Fae replied.

"Then you are more trusting and naiver than I thought you to be. Stephanie had overheard someone in the town, talking about Mark coming down here with the intention of finding the perfect mate to do with as he pleases. As everybody in the town know, the McMahon family is known to be all talk, but they never back up their talk. Instead, they always find a way to worm their way out of it, and pin it on other innocent soul. Well, Mark made a surprise visit, with nobody knowing he was lurking int he shadows. He stuck to the shadows, when he overheard Stephanie yapping about how she was entitled and that her family does a lot for this town, and that she shouldn't have to be part of the lineup; let alone go rushing home, before the ministry came down. Stephanie had every intention of staying out, getting caught on purpose, so that was she could strike up a deal with Mark," Adam confessed.

"What kind of deal," Fae asked not believing what she was hearing.

"When Mark captured Stephanie, he was going to sacrifice her. But she told him about you and your family and how they always kept you hidden away every time we came down to round up the young unmated girls. Stephanie had said that she only knew they kept you hidden, but never knew where they keep you hidden. Stephanie also said that the past couple of days, that you had been offering to close shop for your boss, that way he could get home to his family to help keep him safe; and that you would usually hide in the shop waiting until you felt the coast was clear. You would even go as far as to sneak home and avoid being caught by the ministry. I'm sorry to be the one to say this to you, but Stephanie McMahon has set you up," Adam confessed.
