Chapter 4 : We Are In Danger!

[Uncle House, Date - 1 March 2026, 11:28 AM]

The next morning, a loud scream echoed, "Kyaaaaaaaaaaa!" Aarav scrolled through the website and checked the exam timing: The exam is at 6:00 AM. Below, a few instructions were listed along with the required items to bring:

 1. An official school fighting dress. 

 2. You can carry a weapon, but it must be harmless.

 3. Even a second late means immediate disqualification, i.e., failure.

The school's official store will remain open until 6:00 PM. Good luck.

Aarav said, "There's still time."

He got out of bed and said, "I need to hurry."

As he was coming down from the first floor, he saw Rajesh Uncle (the caretaker) in front of him. Rajesh Uncle asked, "Mr. Aarav, is there a problem? You shouted very loudly just now."

Aarav replied while walking down the stairs, "Oh no, no, I just slipped and fell. And please don't call me Mr. Aarav; just call me Aarav."

He headed toward the kitchen and said, "I'm younger than you."

They both go into the kitchen, and Aarav starts making tea. Rajesh uncle (the caretaker) says, "If you want, I can make tea for you." Aarav, busy making tea, replies, "No, I don't want to trouble you. I'll make it myself. Will you have some?"

Rajesh uncle responds, "No, I already had breakfast."

Aarav says, "Oh, no problem. Next time, I'll serve you tea made by my own hands."

The tea was boiling on the gas stove. Aarav takes out bread from the fridge and puts it in the toaster. Aarav asks, "By the way, do you know where uncle is? He wasn't in his room."

Rajesh uncle replies, "He went out for a business meeting; didn't he tell you about it yesterday?"

[Flashback]

Aarav was very tired and bored. He was heading towards the stairs when his uncle said, "Aarav, I'm going to a business meeting tomorrow. I'll be back by evening, alright?" Aarav, half asleep, replies, "Okay."

He goes into his room and lies down on the bed, yawning, "Huuuh, how much uncle talks." He falls asleep.

[Back in the present]

Aarav said, "Yeah, I remember now." Just then, the toast is ready, and the tea is also ready. He places the breakfast on the table and sits in a chair. He starts having breakfast, and as he takes a few bites, he remembers Dev. He thinks that Dev is still sleeping and doesn't know that his exam is tomorrow. Aarav asks Rajesh uncle (the caretaker) about Dev, "Uncle, is Dev still sleeping?"

Rajesh uncle replies, "He went out a long time ago; he said he needed to buy some important things."

Aarav reacts with a large sweat drop and thinks, "Dev must have gone to get the things before me." He quickly finishes his breakfast. Rajesh uncle (the caretaker) also gives a large sweat drop reaction and asks, "What happened to him now?"

Aarav is now standing outside the house, entering the location of the school's official store on his phone. Rajesh uncle (the caretaker) says, "Why are you going on foot? I can drop you off in the car." Aarav replies, "No problem, anyway, I'll be exploring the city and market on the way." He enters the location and finds he is 2 hours away from his destination. Aarav turns to Rajesh uncle and says, "Alright, I'll be off," and begins to move forward. Rajesh uncle (the caretaker) says, "Be careful." Aarav replies, "Okay."
