lila can't remember the last time she's been in a room like this, at least a hundred other girls who look identical to her in a line, prettier than her, skinner than her...
'no. you can't do that again, you did that before and it ended you up in a bad place' she reminds herself over and over, although she can't help but compare herself to the other girls in the room.
she spends the next hour fiddling with her fingers, thinking through what she's going to say.
"bennett, delilah" a warm looking lady looking around 45 announces "can i just say i'm a big fan?" she says quietly as lila comes closer.
"thank you" lila smiles, trying to swallow her nerves.
"they're ready for you" she tells her, lila nods and turns into the room a tall blonde woman just walked out of.
lila walks into a large loft looking room, she's been in a few vogue offices but never this one. she quickly eyes around her surroundings, her eyes landing on two men and one woman sitting at the table in front of her, specifically the man in the middle.
he looks even better than the pictures she looked up last night, her breath hitches a little but she reminds herself to remain professional.
"delilah right?" he asks.
lila scrapes together the words "i go by lila".
"of course, lila, sorry" jack nods "so you're a victoria secret angel?"
lila nods "i know it's not political but i've been working with victoria secret for two years, i've worked with vogue four times and i've been on the cover twice".
