Anastasia wasn't exactly impressed with anyone at the moment. Following the events that took place at the Gilbert residence and her conversation with Elijah, Anastasia had left mystic falls. Opting to take online classes and using sickness an excuse to get away with, She travelled to Chicago hoping to find Nik.

He hadn't been answering her calls or even reaching out to her which worried the Salvatore teen. Of course he wasn't the main reason she was in Chicago, her main reason was to indulge in some retail therapy and buy herself a whole new wardrobe with Damon's card. It wasn't like he would notice anyway and even if he did he wouldn't do anything about it.

During her time in Chicago she had been to all of Nik's regular spots, even his art studio and apartment but wasn't to be found anywhere. It was unlike him, he could be travelling possibly but it didn't explain why he wasn't answering his calls, he wasn't stingy if he was really abroad he was more than wealthy enough to afford to calls.

Anastasia had tired herself out with both shopping and looking around for him. Her clothes and shoes from the shopping trip were all packed away into her trunk and she had one last stop before she was heading back to mystic falls.

A little bar that Nik had taken her to before, it was popular with day drinkers. She and Nik had found themselves in there on multiple occasions day and night. They served what Anastasia classed as the perfect martini, unfortunately she was driving, being hot wouldn't stop her getting arrested for underage drinking or drunk driving.

She made her way into the bar expecting to see it swarmed with day drinkers, but to her surprise there was only a few already drunk men who were practically asleep on one of the tables or so drunk they were barely functioning.

She cringed at the sight of them before making her way over to the bar and taking a seat, looking around the bar with a sigh.

"Looking for someone in particular honey?" A woman's voice cut through her thoughts.

She turned to see a blonde, dark skinned older woman, probably roughly in her fifties behind the bar, giving her a light smile. She recognised her as Gloria, the owner of the bar.

"Just my friend I can't seem to find him anywhere, I thought I'd try one last place before I leave Chicago" She shrugged, the lady behind the bar nodding understandingly.

"You want anything to drink honey? though you look far too young to drink" Gloria looked her up and down, clearly not remembering her from when she came in here with Nik.

"I'll just have an iced tea, I'm driving" Anastasia smiled at the Gloria, who fixed her up a drink.

She went to grab it from Gloria's hands, her finger accidentally brushing with the bar owners. Gloria's eyes widened so quickly, she let go off the drink before Anastasia could get a proper grip onto it. The glass falling on the bar and smashing, causing Anastasia to jump.

The men in the back of the bar were snoring so Anastasia was the only one who reacted to it.

"Are you okay?" She questioned gloria, who stared at her wide eyed.

"I'm so sorry my hand must of slipped, forgive me I'll make you a new one" She played it off, before walking away to make a new drink for her quickly.

Anastasia looked around the bar nervously, the atmosphere changing really quickly, she felt nervous she didn't know why but it felt as if someone had just looked into her soul.

Gloria returned with her drink placing it on the bar instead of touching her hand.

"You don't mind If I ask to see some ID do you? We get a lot of underage kids in here. Its Sixteen and above to be served with any drink and twenty one and above to be served Alcohol" She questioned the teen, who looked at her wary.

"Uhm sure I guess" She looked her confused before reaching into her bag for her ID and handing it over to the woman.

Gloria's eyes widened once again, "I had a feeling it was you.." She trailed off.

"I'm sorry what?" Anastasia questioned nervously.

"Anastasia Salvatore, or Anastasia DeMarco on your mothers side" She looked the girl up and down Analysing her.

"God I don't want trouble, I've had enough of that for one life time." The Salvatore girl groaned.

"I'm not going to cause trouble, I'm here to give you a warning." Gloria rolled her eyes, handing the ID back to her.

"The prophecy isn't as it seems, you are destined for something other than what you've been told" she warns.

"And that is..." Anastasia trailed off.

"I don't know" Gloria shrugged.

"Girl what-"

"I'm just passing the message on from the dead witches" She hums.

"Well tell the dead witches I want more context" Anastasia whines.

Gloria hummed and acted like she was thinking for a moment, "They said no"

"You didn't even try contact them!" She gritted her teeth staring at the older witch.

"Nope"

"Whatever" Anastasia glared, tossing a few dollar bills on the counter before going to leave.

"Anastasia" Gloria called after her.

She turned around looking at the woman irritated, "What?"

"Klaus is closer than you think, remember that" She warned, looking at her sternly, before walking away into the back of the bar.

Anastasia's eyes widened, before she quickly made her way out of the bar, trying to put together the pieces of what she had just experienced.
