𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐀 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐕𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐄, she was the only child and daughter to the now deceased Zach Salvatore. After her uncle decided to give him a kick in the bucket and snap his neck. You know, just for shits and giggles right?
She was left alone in the world, a large estate in her name and a trust fund worth millions that she couldn't even access till she turned eighteen. Her mother had died a year after she was born. Her father told her that her mother Annie, passed away in a car accident not long after she was born, when her mother was on her way home from work.
Anastasia believed that for so many years, but when he died she found out the truth. Because god forbid he tell his daughter what actually happened to his wife, her mother.
Of course he lied, she found his personal diaries while clearing his stuff after he died, her mother hadn't died in a car accident, she had killed herself and jumped from a ten story building. Why? she couldn't deal with being a mother.
Annie, her mother had suffered severely with postnatal depression after she was born. The doctors and medical professionals wouldn't take it seriously and it developed into something worse and she wasn't able to cope with herself or being a mother, she always thought she was doing the wrong thing.
She thought her baby hated her and she thought her husband hated her too. She was in a great amount of pain for that year. She had attempted to end her life multiple times, pills were her only friends at that point.
Eventually she drove to a hotel just outside of town and went to the roof and found peace.
Annie truly loved her daughter though and so did Zach, he made sure that Anastasia had birthday presents and Christmas Presents from her mother every year so his daughter would think her mother was still taking care of her from heaven.
There were no presents from her mother or father this year.
She found herself an Orphan, she was alone in the world now and that was scary. Her uncle Stefan and Damon didn't even take much notice to her at first, despite living in her home and claiming they were going to be her legal guardians after her fathers unfortune passing.
They finally took notice of the sixteen year old when she slit her wrists and overdosed on pills in the bath, sometimes the grief of children is overlooked, hers was. No one considered what the teenager was feeling, not until it was too late and she was bleeding out in the bath tub.
