4. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭?

𝐕𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤

I was in an café with this two lovebirds who were fighting for the last piece of cake, the front tables were watching towards our direction. I was so done with these two so, i swiftly took the piece and ate it.

Both of them gave me a look asking 'how date you to steal it like that' I just roll my eyes at them continue my work.

We are here to complete our work but these two started arguing over a piece of cake.

"Vri !!!! Why did you eat the piece of cake, it was mine yaar!!" Anu said while whining like a baby.

"No, it was mine!" This time it was pritesh both of them were glaring at eachother.

"What is this behaviour of yours? it was just a piece of cake. It's better to eat then let you fight over last piece" I said while i gave smile to them from ear to ear.

"But bro it's unf-" i cut pritesh and told in serious tone.

"And also we are here to complete our projects not to fight, so can you guys please focus on your writings". To which both of them made a sad face and started writing.

While I was completing my work thought to take a look over my two monkeys, but when I was turning my head towards Pritesh I saw someone i don't know who but that wavy hair, small height,hands on her hips, wearing black crop top and beige pants and that someone was scolding her friend I guess as i could see her friend's head hung low and nodding her head indicating her friend was accepting her mistake.

As I was so focused on her I could feel someone's eyes on me. Turning my head towards Anu i gave her a small smile but i guess I was caught red handed. By her expressions I guess I'm doomed.

I cleared my throat and asked
"Guys I've to use the washroom."
Both looked at me and Pritesh nodded his head but Anu wiggling her eyebrows asked 'what's the matter' with her eyes.
I replied by shaking my head in a 'no' and I went towards the washroom.

While returning back from the washroom i glanced at that table where I saw HER but couldn't spot her or her friend.

But when i was turning to walk towards our table I saw the cup had dropped from someone and was broken, stopped on the track, turned towards the exit area there I see HER who was giving support to her friend.

But still i could not see her face, damn deva ekda! Ekdat please... (God once! Only once please)

She did turn back but due to the plants around the café, made it difficult for me to see her face clearly.

At last i thought i would go towards the exit door but meri phuti kismat! (To My bad luck) till the time i reach towards her, She had already reached towards the road where the bus was waiting.

Defeated I went back towards my table and sat with a gloomy face.

Anu noticed it and asked
"Bhai, sangta ata kide jale tujhe te? And why did you take so much time in the washroom?" With an annoyed face.
