The days leading up to the school trip passed in a blur of preparation and anticipation. Students could be heard talking about their group assignments, choosing their dorm mates, and planning out what they'd do during their free time. Amongst all the chatter, one name seemed to be brought up more than others: Jisung.

Jisung, tasked with organizing the dorm assignments, had painstakingly gone through every group, collecting answers, confirming arrangements, and making sure everything was set. It had gone smoothly for the most part, until he reached Minho.

He still hadn't quite figured out what to make of the situation. Minho, the one person who seemed to go out of his way to make Jisung's life difficult, had deliberately chosen to dorm with him. The entire thing had thrown Jisung off-balance. He tried to ignore it, chalking it up to some weird mind game, but the uncertainty gnawed at him.

Despite the question hanging over his head, Jisung and Minho had continued to ignore each other, both acting as if nothing had happened. The silent truce, which had settled between them after months of tension, remained in place. But the dorm situation lingered, unspoken.

One afternoon, Jisung decided he couldn't take it anymore. The curiosity was driving him crazy, and he needed to confront Minho about it. After all, it didn't make sense. Why would Minho, the guy who had made it his mission to irritate Jisung every chance he got, want to room with him for the entire 4 day trip?

Jisung found Minho near the lockers, chatting with some of his friends. Minho, ever the confident and self-assured presence, stood with his arms crossed, his usual smirk plastered across his face. Felix and Hyunjin were laughing at something he said, and Jisung hesitated for a moment, wondering if he should even bother.

But he'd come this far. He had to know.

Taking a deep breath, Jisung walked over to Minho. His steps were steady, though his nerves were starting to fray.

"Minho," he called out, standing a few feet away.

Minho turned, his expression unreadable for a moment before a familiar smirk tugged at the corners of his lips. "Jisung," he replied coolly, raising an eyebrow as if surprised to see him. "What's up?"

Jisung glanced at the others, feeling slightly self-conscious under their curious stares, but he quickly focused on Minho again.

"Come with me for a second.." he whispered.

"What?—" Before Minho could fight back, he felt himself getting pulled forcefully into the corner of the hallways, tucked away from the swarms and crowds of people

"I need to ask you something," he said, keeping his voice as neutral as possible.

"Go ahead," Minho shrugged, seemingly unbothered by the sudden confrontation, but a bit confused

Jisung crossed his arms, trying to project some semblance of confidence. "Why did you choose to dorm with me? You could've picked anyone else, but you picked me. Why?"

Minho's eyes flashed with amusement, and he leaned against the lockers, looking Jisung up and down as if considering his answer. His smirk widened, and for a moment, Jisung wished he hadn't asked. There was something unnerving about the way Minho was looking at him, like he was playing a game Jisung didn't know the rules to.

Then, in that same confident, teasing tone, Minho replied, "Well, I figured if I'm going to be stuck on a trip, I might as well make it interesting."

Jisung blinked, caught off guard by the flirtatious lilt in Minho's voice. "Interesting?"

"Yeah," Minho continued, leaning a little closer. "And who better to keep things... entertaining than you?"

There was a spark in Minho's eyes, something playful and challenging. It was the kind of look that made Jisung's stomach twist in confusion, frustration, and maybe something else he didn't want to acknowledge.
