Minho sighed, closing the chat on his phone and shoving it back into his pocket. He watched from the doorway as Jisung, Chan, and Changbin left the cabin, laughing and talking like nothing in the world could bother them.

Without thinking much of it, Minho stood up and started following behind them at a distance. He wasn't in the mood to trail too closely, especially since he wasn't in the same friend group. But something about staying behind didn't sit right with him either. The walk seemed aimless, but he figured he'd at least see where the day took him. Besides, it wasn't like there was much else to do.

As he walked, the wind brushed lightly against his face, the early afternoon sun filtering through the leaves of the trees lining the trail. He could hear the distant chatter of Jisung and his friends, their voices carrying on the breeze but unintelligible from where Minho was. It was odd—watching them from a distance like this—but Minho felt oddly drawn to the situation. Even though he was acting cool, staying apart from the group, he couldn't deny the strange pull toward Jisung.

As they neared the edge of the trail, the trio of friends stopped at a red light where the trail met the road. Jisung, Chan, and Changbin stood waiting for the light to change, their conversation continuing as they glanced around the area, likely planning their next move.

Minho slowed his pace but didn't stop walking. By the time he reached the red light, he was standing right next to Jisung, who hadn't seemed to notice his presence at first. Chan and Changbin were still wrapped up in their conversation, oblivious to Minho's arrival.

Jisung finally glanced to his right, his eyes landing on Minho. There was a flicker of surprise in his expression—clearly, he hadn't expected Minho to follow them all the way here. But instead of saying anything, Jisung quickly turned his gaze back to the light, his lips pressed together in a thin line.

Minho could feel the tension between them. He wasn't exactly sure why he had walked up to stand next to Jisung. Still, something about the moment compelled him to stay put, even though he could sense the irritation radiating off Jisung.

The light remained red, stretching the awkward silence between them. Minho shifted his weight from one foot to the other, trying to appear indifferent as if he didn't care at all that they were standing side by side. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Jisung shoot him another quick glance, probably wondering why Minho wasn't keeping his usual distance.
