Ashton had grown up, was now with his girlfriend Nora, leader of Rainbow View Pack, and in his grandma's old den looking at the dirt murals on the walls of his family. Just thinking of them and what happened 20 years ago made him tear up. Without hearing her, Nora had come to get him to help her prepare for their human friends, Greg and Tiffany's wedding. But something was off with Ashton. He seemed sad? On their best friends wedding day of all days?!
"Um, Ash?"
"What! Oh! Hi!"
"Are you okay? You look sad and happy at the same time; it's actually starting to creep me out."
"Sorry, I guess I'm just missing my grandma. I was just revisiting some old memories."
Suddenly, Ashton started singing: Make you glad you came.
"Are you singing a song from 'The Pack?'"
"Uhh..."
"I love that group!"
"Really?! I mean, really?"
"I didn't know you liked them too?"
"I don't! I actually hate it; I was just humming it in remembrance of my grandma. She had very questionable taste, I mean, look at this den! I'm sorry, but there are some bone piles that shouldn't be organized. Am I right?"
"Uh, sure? Is there something on your mind?"
"What don't be silly! No."
"Hey, it's good to talk about your feelings sometimes. If you're having sad ones, you can talk about them with me."
"Okay. You're right."
Ashton looked into Nora's eyes as she awaited his reply. But Ashton wasn't ready to reveal his secrets quite yet, so he made up an excuse to stop their conversation.
"Oh, would you look at the time! We're going to be late. Let's go get mated!"
"Ash!"
"What? Oh, I mean, let's get Greg and Tiffany married."
"Heh, yeah, cause it would be weird if we got mated to each other."
"Right. Yeah, so weird."
"Totally. It's even weird that we're still talking about it like 10 seconds later."
"Heh, duh."
"Bleh."
