I happily wandered around the dark forest despite being day time. repeating the nickname they've given me.
"Feather" I didn't know why they'd pick that but I love it very much.
I bumped into one of them.
It was the teen looking boy.
He looks human?
He's tall almost 6 foot tall.
He has a dark green hair.
He is well built.
But he's a demon, or so I thought.
"You shouldn't be wandering around the forest without any guide"
He towered over me.
His ivory pupils looked down at me.
"I'm not that far from the house"
"Feather, you should be helping around to live here not to wander around"
"Okay"
I didn't complain since they were nice and considerate enough to let me stay at their house.
It has plenty of empty rooms since it's a three floored house and has a nice lake in front.
I turned around and started to walk back to the house.
After minutes of walking, I arrived and so did the boy.
I questioned how did he arrived first? When I left first.
He was waiting for me outside the porch.
I hurried but then I blinked for a second and immediately felt like something carried me.
I opened my eyes and suddenly I'm already inside the house, sitting on the chair, and facing the table full of delicious foods.
It was steamy and well cooked.
I smiled widely ready to devour the food served in front of me by the kind lady thats in her 20's.
She gestured that I should start eating, then so I did.
I kept shoving food in my mouth and the teenage boy noticed me and giggled but cleared his throat immediately.
I looked at them eating like fancy people.
I stopped eating looking down at my messy plate and lips.
I picked up a napkin and wiped the food off my face.
I didn't want to look stupid.
I looked around once more.
I couldn't believe I already finished my food.
I ackwardly sat there hoping something would break that.
The teen boy cleared his throat and spoke.
"Madam Marian, may I take Feather to moon hill?"
Madam Marian? Huh nice name.
I thought to myself.
Madam Marian nodded.
I watched the teen boy stood up and gestured me to do as well.
I stood up and smiled at the others before leaving with the boy.I followed him through the forest.
After a long hour of walking and following a path, we finally made it to the hill.
I made my way up to the top without waiting for him but once I arrived he was once again first to arrive.
"How?" I asked.
He didn't answer.
I stood next to him watching the view of the forest.
"You're not a demon are you?"
He asked.
"Not that I'm aware of"
"Well, it's really not possible that an angel would enter this forest"
He sat down then I sat next to him.
I didn't even realized how close I'm sitting next to him.
"Does any of you know who am I?"
"No, but for the mean time you'll be Feather"
"But why that nickname though?"
"Like a feather, you got lost once you got detached from something you grew up on"
I nodded.
"Well thats reasonable"
"Shin, the name's Shin"
I smiled, finally I got a another name from them after all the days I've been living with them.
"Why are you smiling?"
"I finally got two names!"
I almost clapped out of happiness.
"Hmpph, it's not that serious, you'll know all our names"
"Can u tell me? I'm too scared to ask them"
"Well i guess you already know Madame Marian"
I nodded.
"Her husband, Gustavus is the old man, and the woman who told us she senses that you told the truth is Reina and her husband Carlos"
"What about the other girl?"
"Clarissa"
"Oohh"
"She's like a sister to me"
I smiled.
"You guys are like family"
He smiled but immediately hid it.
I'm so happy for them and releaved they aren't monsters or blood thirsty demons, actually for the past days they only ate meat from pigs that they hunt and vegetable and fruits that they harvested.
But I also felt unsure and uneasy about something.
The same question that kept on flooding my head.
"Am I human?"
