The first few days in Tokyo were magical. They wandered through buzzing streets of shibuya. And Sayuki, despite her illness, was full of energy, laughing as they crossed the famous Shibuya Scramble.
-It's like we're tiny in this sea of people. Sayuki said, pulling him closer as they walked.
But it's nice... with you, I don't feel small. They explored the narrow alleyways of Harajuku, stopping at quirky boutiques and street food stalls. Lay tried taiyaki for the first time, biting into the warm, sweet red bean filling. Sayuki grinned as she watched him, teasing him about the way he devoured the fish-shaped pastry.
-You eat like you haven't had a meal in weeks! she laughed, nudging him playfully.
-It's too good. Lay replied with a grin, handing her the second half. Here, you have the rest.
She shook her head, but took a bite anyways.
-I missed this. I missed you.Later Lay visited Meiji Shrine, a peaceful
escape from the noise of the city. Walking hand in hand through the towering trees, Lay felt a sense of calm, almost as if they were in their own world.-This place is so special to me. Sayuki whispered as they reached the shrine.
I used to come here when i needed to think, or when things got hard with my health. It always made me feel like... maybe everything would be okay.Lay squeezed her hand.
-I'm glad you brought me here. Maybe it's our place now.
