In the morning, when her father woke up to make breakfast and lunch for Lyla, she surprised him with freezer full of food in the glass containers. Watching his confused face, waiting for her to explain what was going on, he crossed his arms.

"Papa, just put this one container in the microwave. This one is the breakfast. Wait two minutes and the food is ready. Tada!" Lyla chirped in excitement.

His eyes widened and an expression relief washed over him. He gave a small nod with a smile, "Good thing, you saved me and you some time. I can sleep another hour then." He approved with satisfaction.

This made Lyla extremely joyful in the morning. Meal prepping was a huge success as she was relieved of extra work, draining her energy before work.

She had decided to change, her lackluster personality and take active actions in the pursuit of friendship. She read many forums online, stating that one shouldn't focus on friendship at work, only giving the undivided attention to work. They fail to understand the basic human need for connection, to be able to have some people in your life where you can go and smile and have a nice fun chat.

So, she will give her best from now.

Reaching her office, she merrily wished everyone on the way 'Good Morning'. She smiled at people whenever she made eye contact. As she was earlier at work, reaching before time, she only saw Kiran and Chris at the office on their phones.

"How's it going Lyla?"

Kiran asked keeping her phone aside and sitting in a relaxed manner in her huge chair. "It was great. I tried meal prepping and I feel like so much time is being saved as a result."

"You're so brave to do so much work during weekends. Don't you get tired?"

"I did get tired that's why I had to utilize that time to save more time later."

"That's fantastic. Your mom doesn't help you in this? Or is she working too?" Kiran asked nonchalantly.

"I don't have a mom." Lyla said in a low voice. Kiran was taken by surprise and softened her eyes.

"I'm so sorry--"

"No worries at all. I've adapted so well. I can do everything on my own now." Lyla lifted the atmospheric with a big smile and enthusiasm.

"If you need any help. You can contact me okay?" Kiran said wholeheartedly.

"Sure sure. You're kind Kiran."

As they talked more about her recent meal prepping, others started coming in one by one, filling up the empty spaces. Soon, it was time for the training session of the newbies.

She saw that Chris and Kiran were packing up their bags and were dressed more formally. "Everyone, we have an important client meeting. I hope you all cooperate? The tasks are dictated to Aman and Rajeev. Cool?" Chris asked fixing his black silk tie.

"Yes all the best." Everyone wished.

As soon as they left, their expressions showed youthful glow, similar to maths teacher taking leave. They rejoiced and started talking among themselves. "Don't be too happy. We are still here." Rajeev reminded with his deep voice, without looking up from the screen.

"But you're our bro, aren't you?" Jeet put his arms around his shoulder.

"I'm not your bro." Rajeev quickly shooed him away.

"Yeah, Aman is in our alliance. Let's leave Rajeev alone." Sangeeta gestured at Aman.

"I don't want to be in your alliance." Aman said with bored expressions. "Now, let's start the training if you're done fooling around."
