"What is your name girl?"
"Nelly Lancar."
"Oh, a last name! That must mean your important haha! Listen Nelly I'm going to tell you this, only because I feel something inside of me. I'm not familiar with destiny, but is what you say is true, then you will need to know this....
Alrach was indeed slain by Etrius, but not without assistance. As the squall happened, Etrius was a bibliography at a prestigious university in Romania. It was actually partially underground, as it's research focus was religious discovery and phenomena. Generally they were just another cult minded archeology group. That never stopped Etrius though, he had the sword that allegedly belonged to king Arthur. Crazy I know, but that was got him started. He amassed a pretty good collectoin of artifacts, and he wanted to know the authenticity of them.
So he called my father. My old man and my mom were just as nuts as he was. My dad acted as a historical appraiser, he could map out the design for anything that existed on speculation. He could tell you the number of vertebrae in the hydra's spine, and the number of nails in Noah's ark.
Almost all of his connection were duds except four pieces. His sword, a lute, a book, and a petrified body.
He was ecstatic to find out his adventures were not in vain... But I sensed something strange about it all... I really did. That was a year before the squall.
The day of I was with my family on a hike through the geographical location of the garden of Eden. I myself was pretty fascinated with it all, but my parents and brother were absolutely livid at the though. That's when it began.
The cracks, the doves, the fire, all of it. White light shot from the ground as a voice screamed out to us. 'Children, I shall guide you to a safer land, if you have faith come with me. '
I knew right then.. It was Christ talking to us. "
"What! That's insane! What did he look like?"
"I don't know! Damn thing was covered in bright light. Anyways we ran to him. I could only imagine this was the rapture. But giant behemoths don't attack during the rapture. It was Alrach.... I remember it... The face of a delirious madman. Etched into a body of red stone. He had eyes like black crystal, and claws so sharp, they tore through space itself.
I followed my family to the light. When we reached it I felt something change."
He flaps his wings to show what he meant. He continues, "it was amazing: no pain, no fear.... Until... It happened. Alrach went for Christ himself. Angels tried to stop him in vain.. Yes, I watched the fall of Gabriel myself. His last attack managed to hit Christ itself. I remember the sight of his bright crimson blood hitting the ground. And I remember... Alrach.... Christ left with us at the last moment. My father was no where to be found. We had left him... I had to get him... My mother told me to stay but I left. And so did she... Only my brother stayed back as I and my mother rushed to my dad's aid.
He was gone by the time I got there. Alrach finished him. And then he came for us.... My mother sacrificed herself so I could get away... I never forgave my cowardice."
"Why do I need to know this? "
"Because let me finish, thank you very fucking much. I followed Alrach... He never noticed me. My wings turned gray overtime, because I left the grace behind. My new strength was incredible, but it would never match what I saw. Until Etrius came along....
He was different then. He stood straighter, smiled grimmer, and laughed with a dark tone.
With its mighty claws, Alrach sword at Etrius but missed. He tried repetitively to no eval. For some reason, Etrius couldn't be touched. Of course he couldn't beat Alrach either. His plan was to seal Alrach inside a sword. He was far too powerful to absorb... So Etrius instead used the sword to channel his his power into weakening Alrach. Each strike caused massive amounts of energy to leek into the world. However it wasn't enough.
Etrius backed off while Alrach followed him through Africa. I left... One again in fear.
That's when I met Tamiel. He had just escaped from the void along with the other gogori that sought to destroy the world, only to find that they were being beaten to it. That didn't settle well with Tamiel.
They rushed to assist Alrach. When I say then I meant Tamiel and Penuema, another significant gogori at the time. They went in search of Alrach. I followed, getting a ounce more safety with such strong people ahead of me. I got to know him, but he never really knew about me. Not back then anyways.
We finally found them, fighting in the Sahara desert, a few days later. The fighting was colossal, they almost were evenly matched.
But there was someone with him.. Standing on the pyramids. I let Tamiel and Penuema deal with Alrach. The man was using a device to do calculations. I began to inquire his objective. He told me he was using the energy from the fight to create a magnetic shift. He explained to me that if enough energy could be gathered, that they could lie him into a trap.
Well he took the bait. He ripped a hole in the dimension and traveled straight there. We weren't too far behind him. We caught up with him... Only to find he had collected enough energy to outmatched all of our collective strength. Even Penuema ultimately fell at the claws of that beast. It was hopeless... But then.."
"Then what"
"It just... Stopped. Alrach stopped fighting. And Etrius dissipated him using the sword.... And then the divinity came through... Told them each that they were heroes and offered then a blessing.
This is where it all started for me... I was the witness... The scion... The one who heard their pleas for power.
The three who defeated Alrach, they were granted a desire, courtesy of the divinity of will. Only rule: it couldn't affect the maelstrom. Nothing that could shred reality apart.
That day I could see it in their eyes... Greed.. Malice... They saved all of reality... Yet all they could think about were making themselves gods to replace the ones that fell and left."
"But I thought you said, it couldn't directly affect reality."
"Exactly! So they schemed to themselves. Tried to find a way to out-wish the other."
"Wait, Torpor never seemed like a person who'd want world conquest. In fact, he seems to stand against everything that involves that kind of power."
"Well, that's now... Back in the day, Torpor was a researcher, worked for Xio's Biomedical Corp. You've probably heard of that name before, Xio. Yeah Torpor worked under Xio at the time... Back then they actually researched human health. Ha.."
"What happened?"
"The squall, Torpor had a dream... He wanted to see humanity unified in harmony, and after he got his power he made sure everything would line up to that. I never got to hear his wish... He spoke softly... As if he was ashamed of what it was. But he did don't damnable things. Whenever he saw the squall didn't bring humanity together, he felt he needed a means for humanity to join together. So he crippled them."
"Torpor? Are you sure?"
"He wanted humanity to join together, so he initialized a way to calm down the human race. He set out the fire of humanity, and took intelligence from humans."
"No! Your wrong! Torpor made me relight it!"
"Yeah, because he realized that his actions made everyone a victim. However, he did it in good faith. He was hoping he could find a way to save humanity whole they were in this state. Without the fire, humans were unlikely to make rash mistakes or turn to violence. He was right... But he didn't expect to be turned on...
Torpor studied the soul. I feel he was trying to find a way to heal the world. The spirit realm was filled with excess energy and threatened the maelstrom. So he turned to Etrius, who studied thoroughly in sealing energy.
Ahh.... Etrius... I never understood him. His wish: to split Alrach's power into five physical forms. He corrupted five holy relics with his energy. It brought relief to the world: Alrach was a being that could recreate himself from his energy. Having him split apart ensures that he couldn't do that. But that doesn't satisfy me, he was planning something.
Torpor wanted to know how a soul could be sealed onto a body. Etrius talked it over, and they came to the resolution to research it.
That's when everything went bad. Another professor from that university, Derkeszher Zher, was hired along with his brother to aid the research. Xio had a taking in his studies.... Zher was intent on fusing souls together.
One thing was made, a vase. The collective studies of the madmen produced the vase that holds all the lost souls from the spirit realm.
That must have pushed tensions, especially when Zher just made his greatest breakthrough: how to manifest a soul into matter.
Xio got in on it as well. They combined their research, Xio's research on the human body, and Zher's soul fusion. Xio had a theory, In the genetic code is an acceptance gene for a soul. Zher had proved that he could compress even the largest soul into matter. Their partnership was inevitable.
Torpor couldn't stand it though, and he lost it when Zher went so low as to sacrifice his own brother to his research. Funny thing... Zher hunted down the seven diety sins... Well he found them, and Etrius sealed them. At the time, those Spirits were planned to be used as test subjects. They were going implace all of the Spirits into one body... What they didn't know is they messed up. "
"Satan was already dead."
"You got it! The balance was broken and Zher's poor brother suffered a terrible fate. The demons escaped... All but one.. However, Zher devised a plan to use it corrupt someone, anyone so he could get a clear understanding of the power that came with it. His plan worked. He managed to instill the demons soul in a machine and give it to a fellow researcher. It wasn't long before that woman lost her mind. She ran off into the wasteland, started building walls around herself... Poor thing.
Torpor was appalled and confronted them. That's when Torpor understood what was happening. He tried to open a portal to the altar of humanity.
He succeeded, but the catch was they were small disk that responded to his genetic material only.
But.... The Xio-Zher, as they took to calling themselves, managed to influence what little remnants of humanity that followed Torpor to rise against him. There was a takeover. And then...."
"They killed him"
"Yep... And such is Human nature."
"Where was Tamiel in all this? And how do you know all this, surely you couldn't be everywhere at once."
"Haha, unfortunately I could. My soul was divided in order to be the witness. My job was to merely observe the three 'heros' to account for their triumph. So yeah... I saw some shit. My body was just sitting.. Rotting until Tamiel found me.
His wish: to divide the essence of evil into energy that manifest itself inside of those who feel it....
Tamiel was evil from the start. The only reason he fought Alrach was the fact that it was murdering people he should be instead. The fact that he could get anything he wanted was just a plus.
So... That wish created eight essences called magnus. They were the incarnation of the things that drive man to evil.
