Season 8 Episode 16 - Come Clean

PREVIOUSLY:
Sean reassured Sarah and had a meeting with his crew.
Gemma woke up from her coma.
Eric and Sean clashed over Sarah.

At the hospital waiting room Sarah is sitting along with Jacob and Lukas as Ryder's car seat is sitting on the floor. Sarah glances to Lukas who is staring at the floor and she wraps her arm around the worried youngster and pulls him close to her as she half hugs him and says "Don't worry, everything will be okay" Lukas moans "Well what's taking so long?" Sarah says reassuringly "These things take time, let the Doctors do their job Sweetie". Aaron walks into the hospital room and approaches Sarah and says "Sarah" and Sarah stands up and asks "Aaron, how is she?" Aaron looks down to Lukas and Ryder and returns his gaze to Sarah and smiles "Gemma's out of the woods" Lukas stands up and asks "She's okay?" Aaron smiles "Your Mum is fine, she's woken up and asking to see you all" and Lukas grins as he exclaims "Yes!" Sarah looks to Lukas and Jacob and says "Go on and see her then" and Jacob stands up and both boys rush across the hallway and enter Gemma's hospital room and Sarah smiles to Aaron "Thank you Aaron" Aaron grins "Hey, just doing my job" and they both grin to each other.

Sean walks into the empty kitchen and his mobile phone rings and he takes out his mobile phone to see the caller ID as 'James'. Sean accepts the call and presses his mobile to his ear and says "Hey James, what's up?" James replies "Hi Sean, I need to speak with you" and Sean looks out of the kitchen window to see Tommy pushing Erica down the slide and Jamie playing in the mud as Sean replies "You okay?" There's a moment of silence and Sean says "James, you there?" James coughs and says "I can't say it over the phone, I need to see you alone" and Sean replies in a concern tone of voice "Alright James, I'm on my way" and James replies "Thanks Son" and Sean hangs up the call and puts his mobile phone in his front jean pocket. Sean walks outside the backyard as Erica giggles and claps her hands as Tommy pushes her down the slide and Jamie says "Hi Daddy" and Sean grins "Hey kids". Tommy looks to Sean and Sean says "I need a word" and Tommy nods and Sean sits on the garden bench and Tommy approaches the bench and sits beside his Brother In Law and Sean says as he watches his children playing "Sarah called earlier, Gemma's woken up" Tommy nods "That's good" Tommy looks to Sean and says "Look I know what you're gonna say, that I should be long gone by now, but before I came back I was gone for eight years, missed so much of Sarah's life, didn't even know my Nephews and Niece but now I'm a part of their life and I want to meet my new Niece or Nephew" and Sean says "Relax, you ain't going anywhere" and Tommy asks taken back "But I thought -" Sean cuts Tommy off "I know what I said, but I was angry and trying to look out for Sarah but the truth is apart from Rose and James, you're the only one in my Wife's fucked up Family I actually like, and if something was to ever happen to me I'm gonna need you here to take care of Sarah and the kids, so you can stay as long as you want" and Tommy grins "I dunno what to say, Thanks Sean" Sean nods as he calls out sternly "Jamie, get outta that mud!" and Jamie says "Okay". Tommy says "I'm sorry we were at odds and I blackmailed you" and Sean says "I get it, you'd do anything to stay near your Family" and Sean says "But you're gonna have to tell Sarah or I will, either way she has to know" and Tommy deeply sighs "Sean, she can't know...you know how much she worshipped my Gran, she'd hate me" and Sean says "I've never lied to my Wife and I ain't gonna start now, that's the deal, to stay here and be a part of their life, you come clean" and Sean stands up and pats Tommy on the shoulder and walks back inside the house and Tommy frustratingly sighs.
