The Unseen World~Book 1~

Chapter 4:

Keilter Mandier paced the waiting room while waiting for news about the teens he found. It has been four hours since I brought them here. Please be okay kids. Keilter thought.

"Mr. Mandier."

"Yes." Keilter stopped pacing and went over to the doctor.

"The kids you brought in are okay. They are resting in the same room. The surgeries went okay except for a couple problems. We still need to figure out who these kids are so if you want you can be there when they wake. Please do inform me when they wake so I can check them over and see if they remember what happened."

  "I will doctor. Thank you."

"No problem. Their room is room 7 on the second floor."

Keilter then headed up and went in. He first headed over to Danny's bed. Danny's eyes opened slowly after a day.

" Y-Your the g-guy the saved me and S-Sam." Danny said quietly.

"I am. My name's Keilter Mandier."

"D-Daniel Coldier."

" Yes I know."

"H-How?"

" I know many things Danny."

"Oh. S-Sam?"

"He's resting."

Keilter moved so Danny can see Sam. Danny's eyes widened when he saw the shape Sam was in. While Danny had a bandage around his head, a sling holding his shot shoulder, a tube in his nose, a broken nose, and a few stitches and bruises along with tiny cuts, Sam had a bandage around his head leading to over his left eye. His right eye is bruised and he has a bandage around his arm where he was shot, he had a bandage around both his hands, his stomach, and his ribs,. But what scared him was the tube down Sam's throat.

"Oh my god." Danny said. "Sam."

"I'm going to get the doctor. Let him know your awake." Danny nodded.

Keilter went out and told the doctor that Danny's awake. They then went in.

"Hello Danny is it?"

" Yea."

" Hello Danny I'm Doctor Pohto. I'm your and Sam's doctor."

"Hi. What's wrong with Sam?"

"During surgery he stopped breathing. This is helping him breathe. He'll have it in until he wakes then I'll take it out. Now Danny is there anyone I can call."

"My mom's at work. She works at Pandem."

"Okay I'll have a nurse call. Why don't you get some rest."

Danny soon fell back to sleep. The doctor left and called Danny's mom.

  "Hello can I speak to Ms. Coldier please?"

  "May I ask whose calling?"

"Tell her it's about her son Danny."

  "Hold on please."

A few minutes later a new voice came on.

"Hello this is Scarlet Coldier. What happened to my son?"

"Mrs. Coldier? I'm Doctor Pohto. Your son was shot and beaten he is currently in the hospital."

"What hospital?"

"St. Lewis."

"Okay I'll be there soon."

Doctor Pohto then ended the call. He went back in and checked on Sam.

"Did you call Sam's parents?"

"I don't know their number. Or his last name."

"It's Sam Meil. I think his mom's number is in his phone."

Doctor Pohto mentally apologized for the intrudence of space before finding Sam's mom's number. He called it on the hospital phone.

"Hello?"

"Hello Mrs. Meil?"

"Yes this is her."

"I'm doctor pohto and I'm treating your son Sam."

"Oh my god what happened?"

"Sam was shot twice and has a collapsed lung. He has some deep scratches on his hands and has a deep cut on the back of his head. His left eye is also bad."

"Oh my god Sammy."

"Can you get to St. Lewis?"

"I'm on my way now."

"See you soon."  Doctor Pohto hung up and then checked on Sam's bandages before leaving the room.

About twenty minutes later a dark haired woman and young man entered.

"Doc. How's my baby?" Mrs. Meil asked.

"He's still unconscious. Now I'm going to warn you before you go in there. Sam has a tube down his throat to help him breathe. That will be taken out once he wakes. As soon as he wakes try to keep him calm."

Mrs. Meil nodded. "Thank you. For saving my son."

"No problem Mrs. Meil."

"Please call me Tracy. I don't like people being formal with me. Oh and this is my son Brian."

"Okay Tracy. Hi Brian. Follow me and I'll take you to your son."

  Doctor Pohto led them to the room. "When you enter please be quiet. There's another patient in there that needs to rest."

They nodded and went in. Brian looked at Sam.

"Oh Sam." Brian said quietly.

Brian walked over to his baby brother and sat in a chair beside him then took Sam's hand gently.

" He's going  to be okay Bri."

"Yea."
