Reki wasn't sure how much time had passed as layed there, propped up against the alley wall. His body was sore from the beating he'd just taken, his arms and legs covered in bruises and scrapes.

His mind was fuzzy, only able to form fragments of a thought. He didn't want to move, it hurt too much. But, despite his pain, he lifts his head up when he hears a familiar voice call his name.

"Reki!"

He recognized the voice immediately, he could never forget it, no matter how hard he tried. He blinks a few times, trying to clear his vision, before speaking in a hoarse voice, "Langa?"

He runs over to Reki and crouches down next to him, dropping his board on the ground.

"Are you ok? What happened?" he asked, panic present in his voice.

He reaches up to move some of Reki's hair out of his face to get a better look at him, revealing a trail of blood running down his temple.

Reki leans his head back against the wall, "I got into a fight," he said faintly.

Langa let out a mumbled "what..." under his breath. It was unlike Reki to get into fights. Small arguments and squabbles, sure, but a full on fight?

He scans over Reki's body, taking in all the injuries he had. His mouth hangs slightly open in shock.

Reki notices Langa's reaction, and speaks up, "I'm fine, Langa...I've had worse before," he tries to sit himself up, but stops as his body throbs in pain. He winces, letting himself fall back against the wall.

Langa's panic only grows as he hears Reki wince in pain, "Alright, come on..." he grabs Reki's hand and stands up, not yet pulling Reki to his feet.

Reki looks at their hands for a moment before his mind catches back up with his body. He uses Langa's help to pull himself to his feet, wincing more as he does.

A sharp pain shoots through his legs, causing him to stumble, falling against Langa.

Langa catches Reki, holding onto his arms to keep him supported, "Can you walk?" he asks.

Reki nods, his body shaking underneath him.

Despite Reki's nod, Langa could tell he was struggling. He shifted so Reki leaned against his back, leaning forward some to pick Reki's feet off the ground. He grabbed his legs, properly supporting him against his back.

Reki let out a small gasp as Langa picked him up. He didn't expect Langa to just pick him up like that, it caught him off guard. He draped his arms over Langa's shoulders, clasping his hand together.

Langa turned his head to look at Reki, "Am I hurting you?"

"No, I'm fine," he replied, leaning his head against Langa's back. He was in a small, uncomfortable amount of pain, but it was tolerable. Besides, he wasn't totally sure if he would be able to walk on his own anyways.

With Reki's confirmation, Langa began to walk back towards his house, checking on Reki periodically along the way.
