When you wake up it is already the next day. You had been brought to the nurses office yet again, but this time with no Bakugou next to you.

Recovery girl comes right into the room the second she sees you're awake. "Well you certaily gave us all a big fright young lady, what were you thinking using so much of your quirk at once?" She asks, in  concerned way, and not an accusitory one, which you apprichiated.

"Well I can't really help it sometimes, if my brain energy gets to big it really just happens on its own, i'm sorry." You say, and you really were sorry. You couldn't even start to imagen the damage you had caused.

"That is nothing to be sorry for my dear, you are at this school to learn to use that quirk of yours for good, just some more training should do you just fine." She smiled at you sweetly, and that did make you feel a whole lot better. "Now, do you want me to let the boy in? I had to kick him out because he was in my way earlier."

"Boy, who?" You ask, still a bit confused from just having woken up. She looks back at you with an even more confused look. "Well Bakugou of course, he was the one that brought you here, he hasn't left since." She says, as if that was something you were just supposed to know.

He brought you here? And he stayed? But it was a whole new day now, why would he stay? Did he trust you so little that he thought you were faking it and needed to make sure you were knocked out for real? Yes, probably that, that would make the most sense.

"Yeah sure you can let him in, just please tell him to not yell, my head can't handel it right now." She looks at you with a smile. "Of course dear, i'll go have lunch after, just come fetch me if there is anything." And with that she dissapears out of the door, and not long after, Bakugou steps in.

He looks at you with a neutral expression. "So, how are you feeling?" He asks nonchalantly.

You raise an eyebrow at his question. "You are expecting me to belive that you have been waiting here, not just for hours, but for the entire night, just cause you were wondering how i was doing. You see i'm having quite a hard time beliving that actually mr. 'Just to be clear i don't like you'."

"I don't, it's called starting a conversation, unless you want the first thing I say when I come in here to be, 'WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU'?" Welp, at least the quiet lastet for half a minute.

"Right, but still, you could have asked me that when I got back to the dorms, yet you waited. I get you don't trust me, but Jesus don't you think thats a bit far." You ask, slightly mockingly.

"I didn't wait cause I don't trust you, to be honest, after what I saw yesterday, I have reason to belive you are trustworthy." He says into the floor, not looking up at you. He also takes a seat in a chair next to your bed. You realized he probably had a lot to say. "I stayed cause I don't understand you. And since I know you are uncomftable telling the truth around the rest of the class, I figured it would be best to get to you before anyone else." He says in the quietest voice you had ever heard him speak in.

You were shocked to say the least, you were about to say something, but he started talking again. "Oh and also I saved your life and also carried you all the way back here, so I want a proper thank you." He says with a smirk, now back to his old cocky self.

"Wait can we backtrack there for a second? What do you mean you don't understand me, i've litteraly given you my whole backstory, what  more is there to get?" You ask.

"No that part i understand, im not fucking stupid. I don't understand you. You blew up half the street yesterday y/n, and for what? Because you for once in your life had to tell the truth? You said that if people knew they would hate you, but I don't understand why you fucking think that." He was angry, but not the same type of anger as usual. This was a more desperate side of anger, one you had never seen from him before.

"You haven't lived the life i've lived Bakugou, that's why you'll never understand. I'm not saying that to be mean, i'm saying it because those are the cold hard facts that i have had to come to terms with. Thank you for saving me, but it's your fault i needed to be saved in the first place." You say, finaly getting the guts to express yourself.

You wern't expecting an apology, you knew he wasn't the type, and honestly you didn't even know if your words resonated with him, but you were still happy you got to say your part, so you decided to switch the topic. "How did you know my favorite song?" You ask.

He can now finaly look back at you. "What do you mean? I don't know your favorite song nerd." He is back to being annoyed, that was ok though, it seemed more normal for him.

"Yeah you do, you played it from your headphones to calm down the explotions yesterday." You say.

His annoyance is taken over by confusion. "No I played you my favorite song, because it was the first song i could find in a rush."

You laugh at that a bit. "WHAT'S SO FUNNY, WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING?" He yells. You laugh even more. "Bakugou, are you stupid, don't you realize what that means?" You manage to say between your laughts. "I'M NOT STUPID" Yet he didn't answer your question. Idiot.

"It means we have the same favorite song." You tell him. Only then is when the light suddenly goes up for him. He snorts. "Yeah right, like you enjoy metal music, sometimes you try to be funny, but your jokes really don't land." He teases you.

"Wow thats ironic coming from you, it's not my fault that you are so damn sensitive that you blow up each time you are teased. And yes boom boy, I do listen to metal, it's litteraly the only genre that can calm my brain." You say confidentaly back.

He looks like he is about to throw another tantrum at your comments, but then realizes that that would have just proven your point further, so he quickly calms himself.

"Well, it's good you at least have good music taste going for you, since you clearly don't have much other to rely on." The says smugly

You compleatly ignore his attempts at insulting you. "Wait a damn minute, was that a complement boom boy? I have good taste?"

"I AM NOT A FUCKING BOOM BOY, and no, you have decent music taste, your taste in everything else generally sucks." He replys, trying to save his cool boy image. He gets up from his chair, as he has now grown bored of this conversation. "I've said all i came to say, I'm going back to the dorms now." He says heading for the door.

A sudden burst of confidece takes over you. "Bakugou wait." He turns around, quirking an eyebrow at you to signal for you to continue talking.

"Thank you for getting me back here." You actually meant it this time. After all, he must have carried you for at least a few kilometers.

He stands and contamplates what to say back for a little while. He was the one who wanted the thanks, but it didn't appear he was actually prepared for it. "You're welcome." He mumbles before quikly leaving the room, yet again leaving you with just your own thoughts.

Bakugou will never make sense, but maybe he wasn't all that bad.

------------

A/n: A whole chapter full of you talking to Bakugou. Good things come to those who wait, and boy do I have good things planned🧡
