the warm air floated around the two figures who sat seated across from each other, engaged in conversation over the situation at hand. This was probably one of the longest interactions the two have had since they were children, if you don't count the night they shared together a week back. The interaction was somewhat friendly, the two still making a few stingy comments every once and a while-- but it was more of banter rather than instigation. After a period of speaking, Gaege's little sister Angel had slyly made her way into the living room with intention to speak to Y/n.

"hai Y/n" Angel cooed with a wide grin as she skipped her way over to the woman sat formally at her seat. the older girl broke out into a smile and diverted her attention from Gaege to the younger girl, setting her glass cup down onto the small table beside her seat, leaning over to the girl "hello there sweetie." Y/n chuckled as the child jumped up into her lap, swarming her in a warm hug. "hey, you ditching me now?" Gaege scoffed playfully at Angel as he watched her swoon over the "flower girl" from the park.

"nooooo.." Angel looked over at him with a mischievous facial expression, before laughing loudly and cuddling into Y/n "snooze you lose" Y/n shrugged and wrapped an arm around Angel with a smug look on her face, knowing Gaege was definitely a little jealous that his little sister ran to her first. "watch it." Gaege pointed a finger at her before turning to look back at the fire and sip on the liquor which sat at a halfway level in his cup. "my daddy and your daddy are almost done talkinggg now" Angel hummed happily and slid her way off of Y/n's lap, catching the woman's attention "oh are they? I better get up then.." The H/C haired girl shook her head and stood up from her chair, flattening down her skirt as she did so. she did not want her father to find her sat in a room with two of their enemies having a tea party. "awwww, alreadyyy?" Angel whined and grabbed at Y/n's hand.

Gaege sat with a soft smile and observed the twos connection, feeling his stomach grow warmer than what the liquor had already made it. The fact that angel liked her made him feel a sense of peace, knowing that his sister was safe around the girl that he would least expect. "yes, but ill see you another time okay? maybe we will visit again." Y/n reassured and leaned down, giving the smaller child a comforting hug before stepping back. Upon the turn of her body and her exit of the room Gaege rose up from where he was sat and followed close behind her, holding Angels hand as he did so. he wouldn't of minded a hug from Y/n either, but unfortunately he wasn't a kid.

"Y/n! we are leaving!" A Mexican accent called out from a distant room, the steps of the voice getting closer to the three until he was standing infront of them. Eddie stopped and grabbed Y/n's hand, before leaning to the right and looking Gaege up an down with a suspicious look on his face "what is he doing with you?" he questioned his friend.                                                                   Y/n only shrugged and tilted her head to the side "just discussing business, is that a problem? Eddie?" she tilted her head and glanced back at Gaege and Angel, before drawing her attention back to Eddies eyes. "could be." Eddie responded blankly and pulled her closer to him, away from Gaege.

The green eyed man felt his eye twitch as he stared over at Eddie, his jaw clenching slightly at the sight of his hand wrapped so tightly around Y/n's-- not realising he was subconsciously squeezing Angels hand until she let out a squeak "ouch!-" she quickly pulled her hand away from her brothers, alerting him. "shit- sorry angel." he quickly apologised before turning back to Eddie, who raised his eyebrows upon seeing Gaege's reaction-- of course Y/n not seeing it and remaining oblivious as she shifted her gaze between the two. "There is no problem." Gaege slightly squinted his eyes with a fake half smile, his tongue pressed against the side of his cheek "the only problem is that you're still standing in my house." He spoke almost directly to Eddie, a more blunt tone to his voice as he glared bullets in-between Eddies eyes. Y/n widened her eyes slightly at the sudden hostility raying off of Gaege, puzzled and unsure whether it was aimed at just Eddie or both of them. but something told her it was just Eddie.
