Malia's POV

After our late-night conversation with Morgan, I felt a sense of clarity. Kylie and I had finally talked about where we stood, and for the first time in a while, I didn't feel that nagging uncertainty. We had our own rhythm, and I knew we'd figure things out together.

The next morning, Morgan texted us, suggesting a day out at the park. She wanted to have a mini picnic and get everyone together before things got too hectic again with rehearsals and events. Kylie agreed right away, excited to spend time with our friends, and honestly, I was looking forward to a relaxing day too.

By the time we arrived at the park, Morgan was already there, along with Ruby, Dara, Tristan, and Peder, who had brought a huge blanket and an assortment of snacks. It felt like a reunion of sorts, and as we all gathered, it reminded me how lucky we were to have this close-knit group.

Kylie's POV

We all sat in the shade of a big oak tree, the sun filtering through the leaves in golden patches. I looked around at our little group, feeling at peace. After the craziness of filming and events, this was exactly what we needed—time to just relax and be ourselves.

Morgan was, of course, the life of the party, cracking jokes and making everyone laugh. Tristan and Peder were busy setting up a game of Frisbee, and Ruby and Dara were discussing an upcoming dance competition they'd been planning to enter.

I glanced at Malia, who seemed more relaxed than I'd seen her in days. I gave her hand a squeeze, and she smiled at me, her eyes sparkling with that familiar warmth. Everything felt perfect.

"So," Morgan said, plopping down next to us with a mischievous grin, "what's the deal with you two now? Officially official?"

Malia and I exchanged glances and laughed. "Yeah, I guess you could say that," I replied, feeling a surge of happiness.

"Finally!" Ruby teased. "I was starting to think you guys were just gonna dance around it forever."

"Well, better late than never," I said, nudging Malia playfully.

Malia's POV

As the day went on, we played games, ate, and shared stories. It felt like we were all in our own little bubble, far away from the pressures of the outside world. I noticed how effortlessly Kylie fit in with everyone, her laugh echoing through the park as she joked with Tristan and Peder.

At one point, Morgan pulled me aside. "You're glowing," she said with a smirk. "Kylie's good for you."

I blushed, shrugging. "Yeah, she really is."

"I'm happy for you, Malia. You two are great together," she added, her voice sincere.

"Thanks, Morgan. That means a lot," I said, appreciating her words.

Kylie's POV

By the time the sun began to set, casting a warm orange glow over the park, I realized how much I treasured these moments. Being with Malia, surrounded by friends who felt like family—it was everything.

As we packed up, Tristan tossed the Frisbee one last time, and it sailed high into the air. "Next time, we need to have a proper match," he declared, grinning.

"We'll hold you to that," Ruby said, laughing as she grabbed her bag.

Malia and I walked hand in hand back to the car, the cool breeze rustling through the trees. I couldn't wait for what the future held, but for now, I was happy to just be in this moment with her.

Malia's POV

As we drove home, I looked over at Kylie, her silhouette outlined against the fading light. Everything felt like it was falling into place, and for the first time in a long time, I wasn't worried about what was next.

"I love you," I said softly, the words feeling right in the stillness of the car.

Kylie glanced over, her face breaking into a smile. "I love you too, Malia."

And with that, I knew we were exactly where we were meant to be.
